Cell Membrane Assessment
You can choose 1 option to demonstrate your proficiency in understanding cell membranes.
Option 1- Create, complete, and video tape an experiment using eggs to demonstrate osmosis.
Option 2- Create a unit outline as if you were a teacher, teaching about the cell membrane.
Option 3- Create a WORKING model of a cell membrane.
All information for each assignment can be found in your notes and assignments
from this unit. There will be no retakes/redos for this assessment.
All assessments are due Friday 01/06/2017.
Option 1 Directions and RubricI will provide you with the basic structure of the lab you must complete. All lab materials must be provided by you and completed at home. EVERY STEP of the experiment must be recorded and made
into a video, including the analysis and conclusion.

Student shows a basic
understanding of osmosis and the cell
membrane by…
 accurately describing most
structures and
their functions in
the cell membrane
 accurately describing most of
the properties of
the cell membrane
 accurately describing osmosis

 demonstrating the
ability to connect
this learning to real
life situations
Option 2 Directions and RubricI will provide you with the basic structure of a unit plan that you must complete. All activities must connect to each other and make sense in the flow of the unit. For each activity you must provide supple-
mentary material, ie. Your lesson for day 1 is a worksheet, you must submit a worksheet and the answer key. The end of the unit must contain an end of the unit assessment that ties all learning objectives together. Each activity should be engaging for students.

Option 3 Directions and RubricYou can use whatever you want to create your working model of a cell membrane. Working means
that it is able to demonstrate all of the forms of transport somehow. All materials must be provided by
you.
