Cell Model- 150 points
STEP 1: Complete your own cell analogy form Cell City analogy page
Step 2: Construct a Cell that will represent the cell in your analogy
Step 3: Create a PowerPoint, Prezi, or a poster with pictures of you with
a real life representation of each organelle (Ex. In cell city analogy, you
would take a picture in front of town hall for the nucleus and a wooden
fence of for the cell membrane
Instructions for step 2:
Construct a 3-dimensional eukaryotic animal OR plant cell that includes the organelles listed in the
table below. Your cell must show all of the necessary cellular organelles listed on the table. These
organelles should be LABELED with straight pin "flags" with the FUNCTION of each organelle written
on the back (Ex. “Nucleus/town hall” would appear on front, and “controls cell cities functions” would be
written on back). Make sure that your cell has a FLAT, NOT round, bottom so it will sit on a table or
shelf. Project is Due October 25th. Late projects will be accepted; however, 10% will be deducted each
day it is late. See rubric at bottom of next page for details on points.
