Cell Parts and Organelles Flash Cards
Directions: You will receive 21 notecards and a rubber band or paper clip. On the front of one
notecard, write your name and class period and set that card aside. The other 20 notecards will be
for your flash cards.
Each flash card is worth 5 points and there are 20 flash cards so this assignment is worth 100
points total.
Create a flash card for each of the following parts or organelles. You must follow the example on
this page by creating a drawing and listing each piece of information to receive full credit. Use
7.2 in your textbook (page 196-207) and your notes to help you.

(Front of note card)
Name of cell part or organelle (underlined)
Drawing of cell part or organelle (use page 206 in textbook or your notes)
(You do not have to draw the entire cell just the cell part or organelle)
(You must color the cell drawing)
(Back of note card)
Description: (you could include the shape, location in cell, how many membranes it has, how the
part looks to you etc.)
Function: (include the organelle’s/part’s job or what it does for the cell)
Structure: (include what the organelle or part is made of)
Found in: (list what types of cells the organelle/part is found in: prokaryotic cells and/or
eukaryotic cells [plant and/or animal]) *use page 207 for this section*
