Transcript
Mitosis
The process of a cell dividing in
order to make an exact copy
Interphase
DNA makes a copy of itself
Cell prepares to divide
Longest stage
Prophase
Chromosomes become visible.
Metaphase
Chromosomes line up in the middle,
(Equator) and attaches to a spindle fiber.
Anaphase
The chromosomes move away from each
other.
Chromatids separate and move to opposite
ends of the cell.
Telophase
The cell begins to pinch at the middle. It
takes the shape of a peanut.
Two new nucleus begin to form.
Cytokinesis
A daughter cell is produced.
