PLANT CELLS By: Hailey Wilson, and Carlene Seenum WHAT IS IN A PLANT CELL? 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Cytoplasm Vacuole Nucleus Mitochondria Chloroplast Cell Wall Cell Membrane PLANT CELL ORGANELLES 1. Cytoplasm- It is a jelly-like substance that supports and protects the cell organelles. It also in charge the movement materials within cell. 2. Vacuole- It stores large amounts of food and water for the plant. 3. Nucleus- Controls cell activities. The “Brain” of the cell. 4. Mitochondria- breaks down sugar to release energy. The “Power House” of the cell. 5. Chloroplast- It uses the sun’s energy (photosynthesis) to make food (glucose). 6. Cell Wall-It supports the plant and protects it. 7. Cell Membrane- It controls the movement of the materials that come in/ out of the cell. It also maintains homeostasis. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THESE ARE? Cell Membrane Cell Wall CHLOROPLAST MITOCHONDRIA NUCLEUS VACUOLE CYTOPLASM FYI: the arrow is pointing at the white stuff. Thanks For Watching ~Hailey~Carlene~
