Unconditioned Stimulus
UCS
A stimulus that leads to a certain response
without any previous training.
ex. Food
Unconditioned Response
UCR
A response that occurs naturally and
automatically when the UCS is presented.
Ex. Salivation to food (natural).
Neutral Stimulus
NS
A stimulus that has no effect on the
organism.
Ex. Bell
Conditioned Stimulus
CS
A neutral stimulus paired with the UCS.

CR
A learned response.
