View the Cellular Structures and Functions Powerpoint on Mrs. Seay’s website to
help you find your answers. Read Ch. 4 & 5 in your textbook. Other web resources
for cells are available.

Part Two. Create a VENN Diagram using the cell structures in Part One. Label the
categories Animal, Both, and Plant.
Part Three. Use the laminated colored and labeled cell to create an interactive cell
activity. The objective of the activity is to identify cellular structures and match the
structures to their functions.
Part Four. Choose one of the following to complete. Apply the Concept p.67 1 & 2, or
Apply the Concept p. 80, or Apply the Concept p. 89 1-7
Part Five. Intercellular junctions [p73-75]: Neighboring cells often adhere, interact, and
communicate through special patches of direct physical contact called intercellular
junctions. For the cell type that your chose for your project (either animal or plant),
create a short story concerning the interaction of two neighboring cells. Be sure to specify
the type of intercellular junction used in your story.
