7th Grade Week of October 11 This cell does NOT contain a nucleus. It is a bacterium. It is a prokaryote. This is the Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum. It transports proteins to other parts of the cell. This is a prokaryote. The DNA floats in the cytoplasm. The cell membrane can be compared to a “gate keeper” or security door. It decides what is allowed to enter and leave the cell. This called being semipermeable.
