Cells
You need to COLOR and LABEL the organelles (parts) of EACH cell.
Attach the diagrams in your notebook, each on their own page. You will be
writing notes beside the diagrams so put the picture in the middle so you
have room to write. These should take up THREE separate pages.
Use the internet OR the book diagrams to help.
Prokaryotic Cell on page 75.
Animal Cell on page 74, 77, 79-84.
Plant Cell on page 87 and 89.
Color Key: You must color the designated/appropriate color.
All Cells (Animal, Plant, Prokaryotic)
Cell (plasma) membrane = orange
Cytoplasm = peach/pink
Ribosomes = white (don’t need to color)
Prokaryotic Cell Only
DNA = Red
Cilia = brown
Plant Cell Only
Chloroplasts = green
Vacuole = red (on plant cell only)
Prokaryotic and Plant Cell Only
Cell wall = shade of green
*hint: cell wall is the exterior layer of support!
Prokaryotic and Animal Cell Only
Flagella = green
Animal Cell Only
Lysosomes = black (on animal cell only)
In Plant and Animal Cell only
Nucleus = yellow
Nuclear membrane = pencil (gray)
Nucleolus = red
Mitochondria = blue
Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) = brown
Rough ER = orange
Golgi Apparatus = purple
Cytoskeleton = DARK blue (look like toothpicks)
