Plant and Animal Cells Booklet
Directions:
Using the drawings of the cell on p. 192 in the whale text book, make a booklet presenting information
about the cell.
Your book may showcase the plant cell or the animal cell.
The cover needs to contain
1. a title (“Animal Cells” or “Plant Cells” will be fine)
2. a color picture of the cell
Each page of the booklet needs to present a color picture and information about the cell’s organelles.
Pictures and information can be found throughout Chapter 7 in the whale text book (pp. 185 – 193)
Organelles to include in the plant cell booklet:
 Nucleus and Nucleolus
 Vacuole
 Cell Wall
 Lysosome
 Mitochondrion
 Endoplasmic Reticulum (smooth and rough)
 Chloroplast
 Ribosomes
 Golgi Apparatus
Organelles to include in the animal cell booklet:
 Nucleus and Nucleolus
 Vacuole
 Plasma Membrane
 Lysosome
 Mitochondrion
 Endoplasmic Reticulum (smooth and rough)
 Centriole
 Ribosomes
 Golgi Apparatus
Some helpful info
Important pictures and
information may also be
found in your textbook
on pp. 39 – 43.
