Transcript
S7L2. Students will describe the structure and function of cells, tissues,
organs, and organ systems.
Appetizers (choose 1):
 Draw a picture of a plant and/or an animal cell, identifying the cell
structures and the function(s) of each structure.

Create a list of cell structures belonging to both the plant and the animal
cell. Explain the function of each structure.

Create a VENN diagram comparing a plant and an animal cell.

Make trading cards for each cell structure. Draw the structure on the
front of the card and explain the function on the back of the card.
Entrees (choose 1):
 Create a 3D model of a “cell city.”

Create a cell analogy collage.

Design a travel brochure for a cell.

Create a scrapbook of a student's adventure traveling through the cell.

Write a newspaper ad pretending to be a nucleus who must post job
openings for the organelles of the cell.

Write a song about a cell.
Desserts (Both must be completed):

In plants, the cells that have to transport water up, or against the force of
gravity are found to contain many more of which organelle and why?

Which cell types are more different: A) plant & animal cells or B)
prokaryotic & eukaryotic cells? Explain your answer.
I have my own idea of how I would like to show that I understand the
structure and function of cells. (Please write your idea below and see me
for approval).
