Due: Wednesday, March 10, 2010
Cell Illustration: 1. Draw an animal cell. 2. Color it with Colored Pencils only and use a
thin Sharpie for the lines and edges. 3. You may use multiple resources such as Books,
Diagrams, or online. 4. Illustration must be put on white paper
4 – ¼” by 5.5” and glued on to a background. 5. Label each of the organelles from the
list below. On the back of your Animal Cell, type out your Organelles and write a brief
definition for each term below. 6. Animal Cell must look 3-Dimensional
The Terms: The following organelles should be used to label your cell:
 Nucleolus
 Microtubules
 Nucleus
 Cell membrane
 Micro and Intermediate Filaments
 Mitochondria
 Vacuole
 Golgi Complex
 Rough and Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum
 Secretory Vesicle
 Peroxisome
 Lysosome
 Cytosol or Cytoplasm
Help: The following web site will help you:
