What are the major divisions of the nervous system, and what are their
basic functions?
The two major divisions of the nervous system are the central and the peripheral nervous system.
The central nervous system is divided in two parts : the brain and the spinal chord.
The Peripheral nervous system includes all the nerves in the body.
The function of the central nervous system is to maintain and regulate our everyday activities.
Our CNS controls all of our emotions, tells us what we should or should not do.
On the other hand, the PNS connects the brain and the spinal chord with the rest of our body.
It does this trough nerves that provide signals to the glands and organs.
