The mitochondria found in eukaryotic cells (like plant and animal cells) have many traits in common with bacteria cells and even have their own DNA which differs from the DNA of the eukaryote. Describe the evolutionary process that might explain eukaryotic cells beginning with archaea and bacteria. Archaea are older than bacteria which are older than eukaryotes.
