Background
NAD kinase, also known as Poly(P)/ATP NAD kinase, NADK, is an enzyme which Belongs to the NAD kinase family. It is
widely expressed but not detected in skeletal muscle. NADK converts nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) into
NADP+, through phosphorylating the NAD+ coenzyme. NADP+ is an essential coenzyme in metabolism and provides
reducing power to biosynthetic processes such as fatty acid biosynthesis. The structure of the NADK from the archaean
Archaeoglobus fulgidus has been determined.
Description
Novoprotein Recombinant Human NAD Kinase/NADK is produced with E.coli expression system.Target protein is
expressed with sequence (Ser64-Gly446) of Human NADK (Uniprot #O95544) fused with a 6His tag at the N-terminus.
Quality Control
Purity:
Greater than 95% as determined by SEC-HPLC
Greater than 95% as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin: Less than 0.1 ng/μg (1 IEU/μg)
Formulation
Novoprotein recombinant NAD Kinase/NADK is supplied as a 0.2 μm filtered solution in 50mM TrisHCl,150mM
Nacl,1mMDTT ,pH7.5.
Storage
Recombinant NAD Kinase/NADK should be stored desiccated below -18°C.
Reconstitution
Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting.
Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1x PBS (It is not recommended to resonstitute to a final concentration less than 100μg/ml.)
After adding 1x PBS, let tube stand at room temperature for 3 minutes to allow lyophilized protein to dissolve.
Mix solution by inverting tube 5 times. Centrifuge tube to pool sample.
Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
