Kingdoms of Organisms Notes
Vocabulary terms:

Unicellular – the term that describes an organism made of only one cell

Multicellular – the term that describes an organism made of more than one cell

Prokaryotic (prokaryote) – an organism whose cells lack a nucleus and some other cell structures

Eukaryotic (eukaryote) – an organism whose cells have a nucleus and other complex structures

Cell wall – a rigid (stiff) structure on the outside of some cells that supports and protects the cell

Autotroph – an organism that makes its own food

Heterotroph – an organism that eats other organisms to get its energy (can’t make its own food)
