As an object grows larger, its volume increases more rapidly than its surface area. RATIO OF SURFACE AREA/VOLUME CELL DIVISION b/4 a cell gets too large it goes through cell division making 2 daughter cells each daughter cell has full compliment of chromosomes … & an increased ratio of surface area/volume
