Forum on adaptation to climate change
Objectives: Meet, dialogue, create tools or projects to adapt to climate change impacts and favor
collaborations for the future.
Target audience:
First Nations – elected representatives, community organizations, businesses, members affected by CC and/or
involved in the adaptation measures.
Non-natives – professionals, researchers, technicians, elected representatives, environmental or sustainable
development organizations, businesses, citizens involved or interested in adaptation measures.

This forum is organized by the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Sustainable Development Institute
(FNQLSDI) in collaboration with l’Association québécoise de lutte contre la pollution atmosphérique
(AQLPA).

Vignettes, produced by independent producer Olivier D. Asselin, that illustrate climate change impacts in First
Nations communities, will be shown throughout the forum.

Round table: First of all, we will present the general elaboration process for a climate change adaptation plan (CCAP)
within a First Nations community.
Then each project officer will take a few minutes to put forward the community’s specificities, for both the impacts and
the process.
Finally, an exchange can take place with the public, the objective is to have a dialogue allowing for an exchange of
expertise and experience both ways, between the public and project officers on the impacts but especially on the CCAP
creation process (since the main impacts will be worked on in the workshops).
