Why the scientists want to extract the DNA from the cells? With the innovation and technological development, the DNA techonology becomes more and more mature. The scientists isolate the DNA samples from the cells, hoping to establish the DNA bank including all different species. Why they are doing this? It is very important, because the DNA techonology can help people with authentication, disease prevention, maintain biodiversity, produce GM products and many others. To begin with the authentication, This DNA bank is the most powerful tool in helping the criminal justice system, finding missing persons and identify the relationship nowadays. The DNA database has a great amount of DNA samples. For example, in criminal case, once the suspects get caught, the police can search, compare and ananlysis the forensic DNA from the database, to solve the criminal case efficitiently. There are also a lot of examples that the suspects are truly identified by the DNA bank in serious cases. Secondly, the scientists could study anlylize the specific disorder base on the information in DNA bank. when the the genetic information having some deseases store in the DNA bank, scientists could can identify the sources lead to the deseases. And the doctor can provide the relative treatment, even can do the gene therapy. Lots of reserchers benifit from the specific DNA bank for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) , it made people know better about this disease, more and more DNA samples will let scientists identify the mutipul reasons cause this disorder, and in the not very far future, they might find the way to conquer it. Thirdly, the DNA samples can help with the extinction of different kinds of organisms, to maintain the biodiversity. Lots of organisms face extinction, but once their DNA samples store in the database, they still have chances to rebirth again, in another way to keep the world’s biodiveristy. Finally, genetic modification technology allows the scientists to create the products they want. They can insert desired genes or remove the bad genes, make a new one which is productive or environmental friendly products. This also can solve lots of problem, such as hunger. Above all, there are lots of reasons for the scientists to establish the DNA bank. Authentication, disease prevention, maintain biodiversity, produce GM products are only some of them. By using the DNA technology, scientists are learning from the GOD to create organisms. Works cited Genetically Modified Organisms.
