Haplotypes often identify genes involved in polygenic traits. No single site controls the phenotype. Quantitative trait loci (QTLs) are genetic areas involved in modulating expression of polygenic traits. Haplotypes and Evolution Recent human evolution is visible in the genome as “selective sweeps”.
