products which are now the preferred choice for consumers in the USA and abroad.
ASO products are primarily sold under the brand name of mass merchandisers, food & grocery
retailers, drug store chains, as well as distributors in professional medical markets. ASO has
partnered with these retailers to provide high quality products with innovative brand strategies
which build store brand value, increase returns, and enhance market share in the categories of
products we provide.
In March of 2014, ASO was selected as Walmart’s supplier of the year besting all other branded
companies and private label suppliers in the health and beauty care category. In April of this
year, ASO was awarded TOPCO’s 2015 supplier of the year for the health & beauty care
category. Our success is directly attributable to ASO’s talented employees who innovate,
create and support the highest quality products within our marketplace at the best
possible price and value for the consumer.
ASO is currently seeking a Marketing Manager supporting the Drug Channel. The Marketing
Manager – Drug Channel will be responsible for the channel’s retail marketing activities
including: Customer Marketing Planning, Project Management of New Products, Customer
Analytics / Market Research and Commercialization / Sales Support ensuring current and future
business opportunities are maximized while appropriately optimizing customer profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Marketing Planning
 Development of and execution of customer strategic planning activities including product
life cycle management and product portfolio oversight.
 Develops strategies to improve profit margins through SKU rationalization, innovation,
customer pricing, and coordination of supplier evaluation/negotiation
Project Management of New Products
 Manages customer new product projects through the Stage Gate Process ensuring all
gates are completed timely per plan.
 Leads cross functional work teams to complete projects ensuring all parties are apprised
throughout the stage gate process identifying bottle necks and/or risks and mitigating
risks by ensuring the right talent, tools, or processes are addressed to resolve efficiently
and effectively.
 Oversees the completion of product baseline information (Z Charts, Competitive
Landscapes, Preliminary Forecasts, Brand Reviews, Preliminary Claims, Qualification
Test Plans, Manufacturing or Distribution Reviews, Product Design Specifications,
Development of Initial Product Timelines) working through cross functional teams.
Customer Analytics / Market Research


Review, analyze and articulate customer trend information, market share data and retail
POS information, including Nielsen and IRI data
Develop/articulate consumer trends critical to the business decision making process
Commercialization / Sales Support
 Management of customer product positioning and merchandising strategy
 Execution of category promotional development activities
 Leads trade marketing and consumer awareness campaigns
 Management of customer product launches (lead of cross functional team for customer)
 Provides sales support / customer product line reviews

Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related Business area, MBA with an emphasis in Marketing
preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing / product management with at least 3
years in consumer packaged goods. Experience with a large consumer packaged goods
manufacturer/distributor preferred. Exposure to multiple customer retail channels (mass, food,
drug, dollar, club, online) a plus.
Skills & Abilities:
Career path must demonstrate a successful track record in providing marketing leadership,
innovation within consumer packaged goods. Must be able to execute marketing strategies
including working with cross functional teams to launch new products. Should hold strong
computer skills (Sales Database Systems, ERP, MS Office, Outlook), as well as possess superb
written, verbal communication and presentational skills. Must be a team player.
