JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Marketing officer Department: Marketing and communications Reports to: Senior marketing and campaigns manager Management Responsibility: None Location: Coventry (some travel required) Grade: P1 Job purpose 1. To create and deliver marketing campaigns and activities to support membership recruitment and retention and lead generation for our portfolio of products and services, including training, events and education programmes. 2. Design and manage campaigns that work across digital and offline platforms, working with teams across the organisation to deliver tangible results. Main functions 1. Create and implement online and offline marketing campaigns to generate leads and sales across the range of CIH product and services 2. Interrogate and understand customer data using our CRM system, to generate segmented marketing lists for effective targeting of messages and marketing activity. To be a designated CRM super-user 3. End-to-end management of digital activity – from understanding the customer and the product, to writing engaging email and web copy through to delivery, evaluation of results and reporting these back to the organisation. 4. Use a range of online systems and technology to communicate marketing messages and monitor their impact 5. Plan and manage marketing activity and the stand at our programme of events to promote relevant CIH messages and products to customers Submitted by Interim Head of Marketing and Communications 04/02/2015 1 6. Build clear user journeys to ensure a good user journey utilising SEO/Google analytics and become an expert web publisher 7. Develop robust and productive relationships both within the marketing and communications team and across CIH to develop a good understanding of product and services, customers and the organisation 8. Find and exploit other channels for marketing messages – including social media channels and blogs – to maximise the reach of marketing campaigns 9.
