Job Description Post: Grade: Hours: Location: Reporting to: Digital Marketing Manager £32,000 pro rata per annum 21 hours per week National Office, Glasgow Chief Executive Purpose of the Job: As part of the Senior Management Team, this role will manage all aspects of The Spark’s digital strategy and engagement activities, maximising the organisations profile across multiple platforms. As is the case with all roles at The Spark, a clear focus on delivery of a professional, ethical and quality driven service is required. Key Responsibilities and Duties Developing and managing digital marketing campaigns Overseeing the organisations social media strategy and engagement Managing email list, writing, collating and sending regular email updates Managing the digital publishing schedule and content marketing strategy. Setting content deadlines and collating content from colleagues Devising strategies to drive online traffic to the organisations website Managing website analytics, providing regular reports and analysis to management and recommendations for future activity Responsibility for planning and budgetary control of all digital marketing Conducting keyword research and recommending improvements Creating and uploading copy and images for the organisation's website Writing regular blog posts Communicating with partners in relation to digital marketing activities Working with external web design agency to improve the usability, design, content and conversion of the company website Researching and identifying new digital marketing opportunities Liaising with external agencies where appropriate to manage the creation of digital assets and content Contributing to industry blogs and online publishing platforms Managing paid media campaigns, including liaising with external agencies, measuring and reporting on ROI against KPI’s Review new technologies and keep the organisation at the forefront of developments in digital marketing. Person Specification AREA ESSENTIAL Education/Training Educated to Diploma/Degree level in a related discipline Experience Minimum 3 years’ experience managing digital marketing campaigns DESIRABLE Proven track record of success in a digital marketing role Experience of formulating social media and content marketing strategies Experienced using Adwords/PPC campaigns Experience of conducting email marketing campaigns and using CRM’s Knowledge Knowledge of Organic SEO principles and strategy Knowledge and understanding of The Spark core services Knowledge and understanding of 3rd sector Skills & Abilities Strong writing skills and an ability to write engaging, focused and relevant copy. Experience of writing for the web essential Expert analytical skills - advanced level of Google Analytics and Excel needed Personal Attributes & Other Requirements Communicates and collaborates with ease Is flexible, adaptable and responds positively to change Self-motivated, takes personal accountability and demonstrates initiative.
