Caprotein by Mt. Capra Premium Goat-Milk Protein What is Caprotein? Caprotein is a premium quality goat-milk protein powder. It is minimally processed by Mt. Capra from goat milk collected from our own farms to preserve it’s original composition. Most other milk protein powders are made from cow milk and use several harsh processing steps including heating at high temperature. Caprotein contains all essential amino acids for optimal health and is tolerated well by most people. Caprotein is partially predigested (lacto-fermented). This process assist digestion and absorption while providing the body with beneficial probiotics and enzymes. Why Caprotein? Caprotein is the highest quality goat-milk protein powder available. It is made from goats-milk that contains no antibiotics or growth hormones. Caprotein is high in amino acids and is a complete protein source. These building blocks of protein are crucial for optimal health. Caprotein provides a balanced combination of whey protein and milk protein. Most animal protein supplements (from cows milk) only provide one part of the proteins found in milk. We at Mt. Capra are convinced that a combination of milk protein and whey protein is superior. Caprotein also provides a favorable ratio of potassium to sodium. New Findings Suggest “Whole Protein” Superior to “Isolate:” Why are whole proteins superior to isolated proteins? Protein supplements are often offered as whey protein isolates because it has long been thought that isolated whey protein is the best supplement for protein accretion (gain) due to its fast digestion rate. Recently however, there have been various studies that show evidence that casein (milk) protein may have more efficient total body protein accretion capabilities due to its slower digestion rate. There are two aspects essential to gaining total body protein: One aspect is the concept of protein synthesis. One must enhance protein synthesis in order to build new proteins. The other aspect of protein gain is proteolysis. One must suppress proteolysis which is the destruction of proteins that are already a part of the body. Whey protein does an excellent job of stimulating protein synthesis and casein protein does an excellent job of inhibiting proteolysis. However, whey protein, by itself, does not inhibit proteolysis whereas casein protein does stimulate protein synthesis. When a person ingests whey protein, the mixture, or bolus, stays soluble in the stomach and is quickly released into the duodenum where it is absorbed into the blood. This is the primary reason that whey protein does such a great job of stimulating protein synthesis because the amino acids are made available very quickly. However, the influx of amino acids is transient because as quickly as they come, the levels drop. The body always naturally desires to stay in an equilibrium or homeostasis so large spikes in any substance be it insulin, carbohydrates, or amino acids should be avoided. However, when casein protein is paired with whey protein, the protein coagulates in the stomach and is slowly released in the duodenum for a slower influx of amino acids into the blood stream. This causes a lower aminoacidemia which means amino acid levels in the blood plasma are not overcompensated by the body. This results in a steady and ultimately superior postprandial (following a meal) amino acid balance. Testing on various age groups has shown that most people experience the best protein accretion (gain) when both casein protein and whey protein are present in the supplement. Caprotein by Mt. Capra is a natural full spectrum protein containing both casein and whey protein. Caprotein has been formulated to target several population groups ranging from the elderly to the young and growing. The natural amino acid profile that is present in Caprotein provides a high biological value which makes for an excellent choice for those with protein needs. More and more studies are coming to the conclusion that to achieve the best total body protein accretion, a mixture of casein protein and whey protein is desirable. The functional food Caprotein provides for this need. Caprotein is the highest quality goat-milk protein powder available. It is made from goats-milk that contains no antibiotics or growth hormones. This provides many advantages over vegetarian sources (such as soy) because they are typically low in one or more of the amino acids even though overall protein content is high. Cultured Foods: Cultured dairy products from goats, cows, and sheep: One benefit of eating cultured dairy is the beneficial microorganisms they contain. These living organisms contain something called “probiotics,” which, by definition, are living, direct-fed microbials (DFMs) that promote the growth of beneficial bacteria in the intestines. The normal human gastrointestinal tract contains hundreds of different species of harmless or even friendly bacteria, otherwise known as intestinal flora. When an unbalance of these bacteria occurs, however, the result is often digestive unrest. One of the best ways to introduce probiotics to your diet is through cultured dairy products like goat’s milk fermented kefir. Dairy products derived from goat’s milk and sheep’s milk can be easier on stomachs than those from cows, although dairy products from organic or grass-fed cows can be excellent as well. Goat’s milk is less allergenic because it does not contain the same complex proteins found in cow’s milk. The Mt. Capra products, including the fermented CaProtein are great sources of fermented goat products. And while we are on the subject of dairy…you may want to avoid consuming fluid dairy products, such as milk and ice cream, since they contain the milk sugar lactose. Instead, eat fermented dairy products such as yogurt, kefir, hard cheeses, cultured cream cheese, cottage cheese, and cultured cream. Why? Fermented dairy products contain little or no residual lactose, which is the type of sugar in milk that many find hard to digest. Mt. Capra Caprotein™ Protein supplement for optimum energy and muscle building. The key ingredients include goat-milk protein, fermented goat-milk protein, and probiotic cultures. How To Increase Energy and Build Muscle Strength With a Single Daily Supplement Mt. Capra Caprotein™ users routinely report: Greater muscle mass Higher energy levels Easier weight loss Better digestion Stronger bones Healthier fingernails Improved pH balance Stronger immunity Get optimum levels of protein from healthy goat milk Protein is the basic building block of health. You need it just to sustain life. Animal protein is the only complete protein source with all the essential amino acids. You simply must have animal protein for balanced production of hormones, enzymes, connective tissues, antibodies, and natural blood clotting agents. With Mt. Capra Caprotein™, you get your animal protein from all-natural goat milk. This is a powerful alternative to the health problems often associated with the consumption of cow milk. Even people with severely compromised digestive systems can easily tolerate goat milk. In fact, Mt. Capra Caprotein™ is one of the most potent natural ways to increase energy and build muscle strength. What's more, because of the healing qualities of goat milk, you're strengthening and restoring your digestion while promoting optimum health. Goat milk is a highly digestible, absorbable form of protein With Mt. Capra Caprotein™, you get optimum levels of protein to promote healthy digestion and absorption. This natural supplement is especially valuable to people who are lactose intolerant, thanks to the beneficial properties of goat milk. Here are some important facts about the differences between cow milk and goat milk: Fact #1—Many people drink cow milk to get their protein. But the molecules in cow milk are five times the size of human milk, making it extremely difficult to digest. This can lead to lactose intolerance, poor digestion, and worse. Fact #2—The molecules in goat milk are roughly the same size as human milk. That makes it much easier for humans to digest and absorb. Fact #3—Most milk-based protein powders are made of cow milk and use several harsh processing steps, including heating at high temperatures. Fact #4—Mt. Capra Caprotein™ is made from goat milk protein from Mt. Capra farms in Washington state. The Mt. Capra goats are free range and have never been exposed to harmful pesticides, herbicides, growth hormones, or antibiotics. Fact #5—Mt. Capra Caprotein™ is a unique combination of goat milk protein and goat milk whey. It is minimally processed to ensure that it's preserved as close as possible to the original composition. You can take Mt. Capra Caprotein™ daily in place of muscle building supplements or energy supplements. This unique supplement gives you both benefits as well as being 100% natural and safe—even safe enough for a baby. Getting the most from your protein supplements According to scientific studies, consuming milk proteins by themselves cause amino acids to be absorbed too quickly. However, the combination of goat-milk whey and goat-milk protein is easily absorbed and gives you a full spectrum of nutrients. With Mt. Capra Caprotein™, you get a complete compliment of essential building blocks for your body, including: 22 amino acids—Mt. Capra Caprotein™ has every amino acid your body needs to produce healthy, new cells. You need them in your heart, your brain, your nerves, your muscles, your skin, and every other tissue and organ in your body. Probiotics—The more "beneficial bacteria" you have, the faster you can boost your immune system. The probiotics in Mt. Capra Caprotein™ were specially formulated to resist heat, cold, chlorine, fluoride, stomach acid and extreme shifts in pH. This allows millions of these bacteria to "arrive alive" in your digestive tract. Digestive enzymes—These enzymes help boost your digestion dramatically. They also help restore the crucial pH balance in your digestive tract. Both are especially important if you’re over 60 or recuperating from an illness. Mt. Capra Caprotein™ can help increase your energy levels, boost your immune system, build stronger teeth, bones and nails, soothe your digestive tract, and build muscle mass more quickly. The key to all these benefits? Goat milk protein. Mt. Capra Caprotein™ starts working quickly You could easily start to notice positive changes from Mt. Capra Caprotein™ in as little as 30 days. However, you'll likely experience your most significant health benefits after 60 to 90 days. Consistent use over time improves effectiveness. For optimal results, combine with proper nutrition and daily exercise. Each bottle of vanilla-flavored Mt. Capra Caprotein™ powder contains 23 servings (2 tablespoons per daily serving), with 15 grams of protein per serving. It is completely safe and may be consumed by children and infants. It is particularly effective for children with cow’s milk intolerance. The Body’s Essential Building Blocks Human life requires proteins and essential building blocks, necessary for normal growth. Protein is equally essential in the formation of hormones, blood clotting, and connective tissue, and is the primary constituent of enzymes and antibodies. The foundation of complete health is formed by the presence of protein in the muscles, skin, bones, hair, heart, teeth, blood, brain, skin and billions of biochemical activities. Apart from water, the most abundant substance in the body is contained in the amino acid group; the matrix into which these substances are incorporated is protein. The brain is made up of more than one-third protein. Researchers have been able to show that manifestations of symptoms such as depression, apathy, irritability, hyperactivity, unexplained fatigue, and loss of strength and muscle mass occur when non-essential amino acids cannot be adequately produced to meet the demands of the brain. Animal Protein vs. Vegetable Protein Animal protein, such as that found in natural goat-milk protein, is the only source of vitamins A and D as well as being a complete protein containing all essential amino acids. Sources of protein from vegetables contain only incomplete proteins—low in essential amino acids, even in high protein amounts. Why Goat-Milk Protein? The molecular composition (size) of goat-milk protein is most like human milk, making it easier to digest and absorb. Many individuals allergic or reactive to cow’s milk easily tolerate goat’s milk because the protein molecules are one-fifth smaller than those of cow’s milk—making it a perfect choice for those with compromised digestive systems. For these individuals, it is especially valuable when the goat-milk protein is partially pre-digested through lactic acid fermentation—virtually eliminating the lactose content of the milk, and facilitating digestion through the creation of digestive enzymes. The Best of Two Proteins in One Product The protein I use and recommend for my clients is a complete balanced blend of goat-milk whey and milk proteins. Consuming whey protein by itself has been identified by researchers as causing too rapid an absorption of amino acids—the amino acids are then used for energy production instead of tissue building. A combination of goat-milk and whey proteins has a full complement of essential body-building blocks including glutamine and a healthy ratio of potassium to sodium. Generalized Signs of Protein Deficiency Grayish complexion Fragile, splitting and slow-growing fingernails Frequent illness due to compromised immunity Females may stop menstruating Chronic, unexplained fatigue Hair loss Goat-Milk Protein Powder Is Better Because: Contains beneficial bacteria designed to be resistant to heat, cold, chlorine, fluorine, stomach acid and extremes of pH Is a balanced combination of rich milk and whey proteins containing amino acids Is fermented using a lactic acid bacterium that creates biologically active lactic acid—used for energy production and fat burning Is credited by the healthiest and longest-living people for their longevity Is a cultured (lacto-fermented) dairy product, credited by some as capable of lowering cholesterol and protecting against bone loss Is abundant in naturally occurring digestive enzymes, i.e. protease, amylase, lipase and lactase Is produced from goats that are not fed pesticide-contaminated food, herbicides, growth hormones or antibiotics Naturally Occurring Probiotics Goat-milk protein, when lacto-fermented, contains super strains of probiotics (health-enhancing bacteria). Fermentation by lactic acid bacteria creates biologically active lactic acid that supports energy production and fat-burning. Additionally, this process is essential for establishing a proper pH balance in the gastrointestinal tract and body tissues. Scientific research confirms that probiotics are a vital necessity in the support of overall human health, specifically digestive health. The presence of probiotics vastly improves digestion and nutrient absorption and provides protection against the invasion of foreign pathogens, infectious agents, accumulated endo-toxins (within the body) and carcinogenic substances. In addition, probiotics produce short-chain fatty acids that are converted into energy. Amino Acids: The Building Blocks of Protein The existence of amino acid building blocks is imperative in supporting the overall immune system. When goat-milk protein is processed without excessive heat or acids, it contains biologically active cystine, glycine, and glutamic acid in tri-peptide form—the combination of these acids forms glutathione. The role of glutathione is important because it functions as a principal antioxidant— scavenging free radicals and environmental toxins that can damage and destroy healthy cells. When we experience excessive, prolonged stress, the result is oxidative stress and reduced levels of glutathione. Many health professionals believe that some cases of fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and immune system disorders are actually accelerated by the oxidative stress effects on the nervous, immune and endocrine systems when supplies of glutathione are depleted. Glutathione is responsible for proper functioning of the immune system through its critical role in the growth and replication of lymphocytes, the cells that actually mediate specific immunity factors. Goat-milk protein is also credited for providing immunoproteins such as albumin, lactalbumin and lactoferrin— shown to stimulate overall immune responses. Those that follow my work and writings know that I credit goat-milk products for a major role in my recovery from leaky gut and multiple allergic response syndromes. When my body became allergic to everything, goat-milk protein allowed me to regain my muscle mass, energy and stamina without causing an allergic reaction leading to anaphylaxis. To this day, I consume a protein shake daily for breakfast, along with my favorite super greens, minerals/electrolytes from goat-milk mineral whey powder, omega oils and natural sweetener— it’s truly my fast-food even when traveling. Goat’s milk is the most widely consumed milk in the world— credited for supporting stamina and longevity. In our busy, fast-paced, demanding lives, why not choose “nature’s original fast-food,” a protein powder shake made from goat’s milk and whey proteins? The variety of taste in this healthy fast-food is only limited by your creativity, naturally.
