Minutes
Thursday, April 19, 2007
Present: Cynthia Berlin, Tracy Caravella, Thomas Gendreau, Thomas Kernozek, Jennifer
Miskowski, Bradley Seebach, Todd Weaver, Michael Winfrey
Excused: Kenny Hunt, Mike Jackson, Garth Tymeson
1. Jennifer Miskowski called the meeting to order at 3:36 p.m.
2. M/S/P (7/0/0): Minutes approved from April 5, 2007 meeting.
3. A proposal for a new Earth Science course, “Global Warming and Climate Change”
(ESC 211) was discussed. The Department of Geography and Earth Science will
propose to the General Education Committee that the course be included as an option
in the Science: Understanding the Natural World category of the general education
curriculum.
M/S/P (8/0/0): The College Committee approved the course “Global Warming and
Climate Change” (ESC211) as a general education course.
4. Meeting adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
