Join the united global response to climate change
Climate change is the defining challenge of our time. The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is an operating
entity of the financial mechanism of the UNFCCC. It is a critical part of the climate finance
architecture which will support developing countries’ responses to climate change by investing into
low-emission and climate-resilient development. Countries have already pledged over $10bn to
reduce greenhouse gas emissions in developing countries, and to help vulnerable societies adapt to
the impact of climate change. GCF was established by 194 governments to reduce greenhouse gas
emissions in developing countries, and to help vulnerable societies adapt to the impact of climate
change. Given the urgency and seriousness of the challenge, the GCF is mandated to make an
ambitious contribution to the united global response to climate change.
The Board of the GCF now wishes to invite applications for three critical positions that will report
directly to the Board of the Fund, namely the Head of Independent Evaluations Unit, Head of
Independent Integrity Unit and the Head of Independent Redress Mechanism. Based at the GCF's
headquarters in Songdo, Incheon City, Republic of Korea, each of the roles offers a unique
opportunity to be part of a newly-established and rapidly expanding organization that seeks to have
a real impact on our planet's future. Candidates need to be experienced professionals of the highest
calibre, able to navigate complex policy relevant environments. The tenure of the positions will be
three years, renewable once.
To apply or to download further information on the required qualifications, skills and experience as
