Main contacts:
Internal - Regional School Partnership staff, particularly those
within operational roles, other regional Marketing and
Campaigns Managers and the National Associate Director,
Operations. The central Marketing & Communications Team,
particularly the Programme Marketing Manager and
Associate Director of Brand & Engagement.
External – Regional marketing contacts including events teams
and regional media.
Main objective(s):
To work with the national Marketing & Communications
department and regional School Partnerships department to
support the development of marketing content, using it to
create and deliver high impact regional media,
communications and e-marketing campaigns that drive
enquiries and applicants to our portfolio of leadership
programmes.
Time Required:
Full-time, with occasional travel across the region required,
and to other offices required. Occasional weekend and
overnight work, for which time-off in lieu is granted.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Contribute to the design and delivery of a highly effective national programme
marketing strategy, along with other regional Marketing and Campaigns Managers
(MCMs) and colleagues in the national School Partnerships and Marketing &
Communications departments.
•
Work in partnership with the regional School Partnerships Associate Director
(Marketing and Operations) and the Senior School Partnerships Associate (SSPA) to
plan and deliver regional campaigns, including developing and running system leader,
school and conversion processes.
•
Manage and refine our existing regional marketing and attraction activities, including
lead and school contact via phone, events, e-marketing, regional PR, to generate
meetings for the sales team.
•
Design and deliver key e-marketing campaigns to target markets such as programme
alumni, in coordination with the Participant Networks department, Network
Communications Senior Associate and the cross-regional MCM team
•
Task manage School Partnerships Associates (SPAs) and teams for ongoing and project
based work, including assembling and leading matrixed teams where necessary.
•
Write and edit copy for a range of campaign and promotional printed materials and
publications including e-marketing, social media, online tools, case studies,
promotional flyers and bespoke influencer materials, in liaison with the Marketing &
Communications department.
•
Produce key messaging briefings, presentations and workshops for delivery by the
regional sales team
•
Work closely and effectively work with the central Marketing & Communications
department (Profile & Content Team) to identify regional PR opportunities (online and
offline) and write the relevant press releases to sell in to media
•
Work in partnership with the regional delivery teams to enlist the support of
programme participants for recruitment and sales, including for repeat sales and
advocacy work
•
Plan and deliver recruitment and sales focused events in the region
•
Participate in external recruitment events and promotional activities both at a regional
and national level.
•
Act as the regional brand guardian, ensuring the style and branding guides are adhered
to at all times and that tone of voice in all written communications is appropriate and
this language is carried through to conversations held by all members of the regional
School Partnerships Team.
•
Lead the regional approach to social media and how we can maximise on it for sales
purposes. This should be in line with national guidelines and consistent with the
management of the national Ambition School Leadership account.
•
Ensure ongoing tracking and monitoring of regional campaigns, using the data to
constantly adapt strategy to make it more effective throughout the recruitment
season.
•
Complete an annual regional marketing and campaign analysis to identify and inform
future marketing and campaign strategy. This will feed into national strategy analysis
both in the School Partnerships and Marketing & Communication departments.

Moral purpose: a strong commitment to education, the non-profit sector and raising
the aspirations, achievement and life chances of all children
Graduate degree (2:2 or higher) or relevant related experience
Experience of successfully developing and delivering a marketing strategy for
multiple key audiences covering a number of products, services or programmes in a
previous role
Experience of integrating and coordinating campaign activity across on and offline
channels in to one plan and with a track record of these campaigns generating
significant leads/ enquiries
Exceptional copy writing skills, with the ability to adapt and adhere to the Ambition
School Leadership tone of voice and style guide and successfully develop marketing
collateral and content
Outstanding oral communication skills with previous experience of successfully
delivering presentations
Experience of using Salesforce or similar CRM system
Entrepreneurial, flexible and creative
Experience of monitoring, evaluation and analysis in a previous role
Experience of PR, with good knowledge and understanding of the regional media
landscape and contacts
Ability to work effectively in a matrixed team
Initiative and resilience to work independently
Computer/IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and
PowerPoint
