Purpose:
Experian Marketing Services intelligently brings brands and customers closer together. Using the Experian
Marketing Suite, a flexible comprehensive end-to-end marketing solution, we help marketers identify their best
customers, find more of them and engage with them across channels.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and creative individual in a Digital/Online Marketing
Manager role within the Experian Marketing Services marketing team. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the
Online Marketing Manager will lead the online marketing team consisting of an Online Marketing Executive, and
work closely with the other members of the marketing team.
We are looking for someone who combines the best digital knowledge and experience with the ability to plan
strategically and commercially for a leading business-to-business brand. You’ll understand the big picture and be
able to help shape strategy and how we take our propositions to market – translating these into first-class online
and digital marketing programmes. Ideally you will have experience working in a similar marketing technology
business.
You will be passionate about digital marketing and the online world.
This role will involve considerable exposure to the business, and will give the post holder an opportunity to
demonstrate their ability through a wide range of projects.
You will have line management responsibility and as a senior member of the team you’ll help to ensure
everything we do puts the customer first and enhances the Experian brand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic leadership in digital
 Develop the vision and strategy for digital marketing for the Marketing Services business line
 Scope and develop the strategic marketing plan for digital marketing activity.
 Oversee implementation of the plan directly and/or indirectly through campaign programmes and
deliver value adding lead generating/brand building activity.
 Evaluate impact on business objectives, digital marketing plan and overall campaign activity.
Content strategy and management
 Use innovative technologies to present online content to customers and prospects
 Be responsible for SEM/PPC online campaigns to help drive awareness, trial, purchase, penetration and
retention of products and services
 Develop leading edge communication content and navigation from market research, customer insight,
competitor analysis and technological innovation.
 Working with the marketing team to develop multi-channel/integrated marketing campaigns
Reporting / analysis and budgeting
 Compile monthly / quarterly reports and present against planned results of quarterly activity.
 Analyse performance of all activities and implement the necessary changes to plans so that the business
and marketing objectives are achieved.




Provide analysis and recommendations for review (post campaign/monthly/annual) to enable more
efficient spend of marketing budget.
Working to agreed budgets with approved suppliers
Facilitate and drive performance management processes
Champion a culture where the fair treatment of customers is at the heart of the Experian business.
Ensure that by leading by example, you adhere to all regulatory requirements and apply appropriate
controls in the interests of customers. Through the adoption of a top down approach, demonstrate a
culture where all of our people understand their regulatory obligations, including what the fair
treatment of customer’s means to them and our organisation.
3. KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of marketing:










Search Engine Optimisation – on-page and off-page.
Running PPC and other paid advertising campaigns.
Managing external suppliers and agencies.
Marketing automation, specifically Eloqua.
Web analytics - Analysis and evaluation (preferably Google Analytics and Universal),
Owning and using a CMS (preferably Teamsite and Wordpress).
Email best practice standards and methods of delivery, tracking and measurement.
Implementing new and effective digital marketing methods and content to deploy product and solution
information via the web and direct sales team.
Data strategy and CRM systems(preferably Salesforce)
Knowledge and experience of HTML, UX and lead nurturing a plus.
Knowledge of budgeting and reporting




