Job Title: Content Marketing Manager
Department: Marketing
Division: City and Trade
Reports to: Marketing Director
Job Purpose
This role is primarily responsible for the development and implementation of content marketing and
social media strategy for the brand, which increases website traffic and registration as well as forge an
active community for our customers.
Key Dimensions:
• Development of an effective content plan for the organisation by assessing business goals, user needs,
content requirements, and content sources.
• Creation of compelling and engaging campaigns and content that will stand out and appropriately
differentiate the business in different formats across multiple channels
• Close collaboration with the marketing department as well as product marketing, channel marketing
and channel sales to translate business and marketing goals into meaningful content deliverables.
• Develop and implement an integrated social media strategy and management of social media content
including management of the core social media channels
•Production and execution of an editorial calendar and social media plan to support business objectives.
•Identify and develop emerging and low cost digital marketing toolset to reduce pull marketing channel
costs.
•Develop best practice content marketing techniques that increase advertising and sponsorship for
brand (event and publication).
•Appraise new digital marketing techniques across all digital channels and utilise as opportunities arise.
•Support business activity (event and magazine) with social media /email campaigns and digital
advertising and activations.
•Develop and manage policy & guidelines for interacting with customers online via Social Media etc.
•Develop key metrics and reporting for social media and digital advertising activity.
•Dramatically increase and accelerate content reach to support the goals of brand awareness and lead
generation
•Write, edit, produce, aggregate and curate the best content in the industry that shows measurable
results.
•Handle planning, promotion, and production for campaigns over a variety of channels including but not
limited to; webinar, slideshare presentations, podcasts, videos, blog posts and ebooks/PDFs program
•Immerse yourself in content syndication, lead generation strategy and social engagement
•Work with designers, editors and videographers to deliver engaging visual content
•Leverage customer and SEO insights for the content creation process
•Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for
search and social promotion
Person Specification
Minimum Education Level
Bachelor s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
Background Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
• Significant experience in editorial content management or related field
•In depth knowledge of digital marketing (including Search Engine Marketing & inbound/content
marketing strategy, PPC), social media landscape & governance and general technology industry.
•Strategic vision and commercially focused with proven ability to develop and deliver marketing plans
•Considerable knowledge of PR, Online/Social Media PR and how to manage incidents and reputation
online
Desirable
• Fluency in Arabic is strongly desired
• Media (live events/publishing) experience is desired but not a prerequisite
•Strong Influencing and negotiation skills when interacting with all stake holders in determining
requirements for development of digital channels.
