Marketing/Communications Associate Overview FAIR Health, Inc., an independent, nonprofit organization, was established in 2009 to help ensure fairness and transparency in health insurance information. Created as a result of the New York State Attorney General’s investigation into the insurance industry’s methods for determining out-of-network reimbursement, FAIR Health serves the healthcare sector nationwide. Our database of billions of deidentified healthcare claims is the foundation for data products, custom analytics and consumer tools. Our data are licensed to payers, government agencies and others to assist in the establishment of fee schedules, provider network and benefit design, strategic planning and other analyses. FAIR Health also offers data products for healthcare providers and for researchers and policy makers. In addition, we offer consumer-oriented tools and resources available on our award-winning consumer website (fairhealthconsumer.org) and mobile applications. Position Summary We are seeking an energetic, creative, detail-oriented Marketing Communications Associate to work from our New York City office. The ideal candidate has experience in marketing or project management, in public relations, advertising, corporate communications, and/or relationship management in the healthcare data or related industries. Supporting the marketing team, you will play an integral role in campaign and channel management, marketing operations, communications and content creation. You will be working in a fast-paced, market-driven environment, managing multiple projects at once, including: Campaign and Channel Management Manage technical aspects of marketing automation and CRM systems used to generate, distribute and report on leads. Identify, track, manage and submit industry speaking proposals. Help plan trade shows, coordinate sales initiatives and monitor competitor activities. Support weekly communications team meetings and maintain team project calendar. Support webinar program, from planning to execution. Marketing Operations Manage inventory of field sales tools and reference materials ensuring that content is current, upto-date and accurate. Support creation of product introductions and marketing roll-out plans. Monitor and maintain data quality within the marketing database. Incorporate field feedback into marketing and planning activities. Collaborate with internal stakeholders on marketing and communications efforts. Marketing Communications Write and/or contribute to marketing collateral materials, sales scripts, eNewsletters and advertisements. Proofread, fact-check, and conduct Internet research to support communications. Support development of sales proposals and PowerPoint presentations. Support web content development. Manage, monitor and report on social media efforts. Contribute to social media strategy, including copy, content and idea-generation. Create content to support branding and corporate thought-leadership strategy. Skills and Knowledge Proven experience as a marketing manager or as a marketing project manager. Excellent communicator with strategic focus and practical approach. Strong writing skills with experience in creating and editing written and visual content. Exceptional attention to detail; ability to proofread and fact-check on deadline. Ability to collaborate productively with internal staff and external associates. Self-starter eager to take initiative and contribute independently. Strong organizational and time management skills. Technically capable with strong analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple projects at once and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to influence and collaborate without formal reporting relationships. Requirements BA/BS degree in communications, advertising, marketing or equivalent working experience, Masters preferred. 5+ years’ experience in marketing operations or campaign management. Experience in public relations, advertising, corporate communications, content marketing, or relationship management. Expertise in Microsoft Office, including mastery of Microsoft Excel, Word and Project. Proficiency in marketing automation systems (e.g., Salesforce, Pardot, etc.) and integrating those systems with other technologies. Marketing copywriting experience Experience in editing and proofreading all types of copy Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Excellent, customer-centric oral and written communication skills, with an emphasis on grammar, copywriting and proofreading Writing samples demonstrating effective brand-sensitive marketing communications required FAIR Health provides competitive compensation based on experience, including a comprehensive benefits package.
