OUTSTANDING MARKETING AWARD CATEGORIES – BUILDER
The MAX Marketing Achievement Awards recognize and celebrate the role marketing has in contributing to the sale of new
homes. These materials must convey a strong message to the target market and promote the builder, community, and/or
product in a professional and informative way, which in turn contributes to the overall success of the project. Builder may
submit ad agency work. Entries must be of marketing activities conducted in 2016.
Outstanding Logo
Criteria: Provide a picture of logo via an image saved to a CD as well as print out of the logo.
Judging: Entry will be judged on overall design and concept.
Outstanding Community Brochure
Criteria: Provide marketing statement of 200 words or less and original brochure. Include applicable inserts and a
color photo of the brochure cover:
Judging: Entry will be judged on the effectiveness of conveying a product or service, overall design concept, copy
points, artwork, printing, and ability to convey information to the target market.
Outstanding Print Ad (Black & White)
Criteria: Provide marketing statement of 200 words or less with copy of ad, date run, publication name, and electronic
file saved to CD.
Judging: Entry will be judged on overall design, concept, copy, layout, and appropriateness for target market.
Outstanding Print Ad (Color)
Criteria: Provide marketing statement of 200 words or less with copy of ad, date run, publication name, and electronic
file saved to CD.
Judging: Entry will be judged on overall design, concept, copy, layout, and appropriateness for target market.
Outstanding Direct Mail
Criteria: Provide marketing statement of 200 words or less and original direct mail piece. Include color photo of direct
mail piece on CD.
Judging: Entry will be judged on overall design, concept, copy, layout, and appropriateness for target market.
Outstanding TV Campaign
Criteria: Provide marketing statement of 200 words or less. Include CD/DVD of TV spot.
Judging: Entry will be judged on overall design, concept, copy, layout, and appropriateness for target market.
Outstanding Website
Criteria: Provide marketing statement of 200 words or less and website address.
Judging: Entry will be judged on overall design, concept, copy, layout and appropriateness for target market.
Outstanding Multi-Media Campaign
Criteria: Provide marketing statement of 200 words or less to include advertising/media submission(s) and color
photo of the primary advertising elements. Provide CD/DVD of electronic ads. Entries may include, but are not limited
to: print ads, direct mail, radio spots, television ads, or internet advertising.
Judging: Entry will be judged on the definition of marketing objectives, effectiveness of reaching those objectives,
overall design concept, copy points, artwork, and continuity of media used.
Outstanding Social Media Campaign
Criteria: Provide marketing statement explaining how your social media campaign fulfills judging elements, up to six
(6) images that represent entry (screen shots acceptable), and link to actual campaign highly encouraged.
Judging: Entry will be judged on concept, creativity, copy, layout, overall design, user engagement and execution.
Outstanding Use of New Technology
Criteria: Provide marketing statement of 200 words or less with a CD/DVD sample.
Judging: Entry will be judged on technical production, concept, and overall creativity.

Outstanding Use of Internet
Criteria: Provide marketing statement of 200 words or less, with web address and any other materials needed to
demonstrate program/special feature.
Judging: Entry will be judged on technical production, creativity, overall design, concept, and appropriateness for
target market.
Outstanding Sales Center
Criteria: Provide Marketing Statement of 200 words or less with 4 to 8 color photographs showing relevant Sales
Center elements.
Judging: Entry will be judged on traffic flow, use of space and marketing value.
Outstanding Design/Selection Center
Criteria: Provide Marketing Statement of 200 words or less with 4 to 8 color photographs showcasing relevant
design/selection center elements
Judging: Entry will be judged on overall presentation, interior floor plan, use of space, and ease of customer
interaction.
