2017 Launch Fact Sheet BlackRock Investment Funds Switzerland BIFS SPI® Equity Index Fund EMEAiS-5416 For Investors domiciled in Switzerland only Fund objective Fund details The investment objective of the sub-fund consists of replicating the performance of the Swiss Performance Index (SPI® - the "reference index") by using the replicating strategy (full replication) and in the approximate weightings of the reference index. It may be the case here that the sub-fund does not invest in all securities of the reference index, but uses a representative selection of the reference index (Optimized Sampling). Only investment companies and equities with a free float of less than 20% are excluded from the reference index. This is therefore an equity index which aims to replicate the performance of the Swiss equity market as a whole. The weightings of the individual stocks in the reference index are based on their market capitalization. As at 07 March 2017, the four largest constituents of the reference index were: Nestlé SA, Novartis AG, Roche Holding AG, and UBS AG. The composition of the index is periodically updated by SIX Swiss Exchange on the basis of the index regulations. For the last available composition of the reference index and the index regulations, as well as for other information on the index (e.g. rebalancing frequency), please see www.six-swiss-exchange.com. BlackRock, acting as an agent, currently lends securities on behalf of certain funds with the objective of generating incremental returns for the funds while maintaining a low level of risk. Should a particular Fund undertake securities lending, it will receive 62.5% of the income generated by this activity and the remaining 37.5% will be received by BlackRock as the securities lending agent. The fact that BlackRock receives a portion of the fee generated from the overall securities lending income does not increase the costs of running the Fund. Securities lending involves risk such as that of counterparty default. As an additional safeguard in the event of a counterparty default, BlackRock, Inc. provides the Fund with an indemnity to cover losses associated with borrower default — in the event of a default, if a shortfall exists between the proceeds of the sale of the collateral and the cost to repurchase loaned securities, BlackRock reimburses the Fund in full under the terms of the indemnity.
