Description
UACA (Uveal Autoantigen with Coiled-coil domains and Ankyrin repeats) is a 1,416 amino acid nuclear membrane protein. It
was originally identified as an autoantigen in patients with panuveitis, a characteristic of Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease, and in
patients with Graves' disease. UACA was also later identified as Nucling, an mRNA differentially expressed in F9 embryonal
carcinoma cells during cardiac muscle differentiation. UACA appears to function as a pro-apoptotic protein that recruits the
apaf-1-pro-caspase-9 complex for the induction of apoptosis to mediate the cell-death pathway.
Product Info
Amount :
100 µg
Purification :
Affinity Chromatography
Content :
100 µg in 500 µl PBS containing 0.05% BSA and 0.05% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly
toxic.
Storage condition :
Store the antibody at 4°C; stable for 6 months. For long-term storage; store at -20°C. Avoid
repeated freeze and thaw cycles.
Application Note
Flow Cytometry (0.5-1µg/million cells in 0.1ml); Immunofluorescence (0.5-1.0µg/ml); Western Blot (0.5-1µg/ml); Optimal
dilution for a specific application should be determined.
Western Blot of A549 Cell Lysate using UACA / Nucling Monoclonal Antibody (AE-5)
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic/therapeutics procedures.
