Mouse Anti-Human IgG2 Monoclonal Antibody 1 PRODUCT CODE: MC005 This product is intended for in vitro research use only. REAGENT 1.1 PRESENTATION 200µL of purified monoclonal antibody at 1.0mg/mL in 0.1M Tris-Saline pH 8.2 + 0.099% Sodium Azide. 1.2 PRODUCTION Hybridoma cells were grown in vitro to produce tissue culture supernatant (TCS) containing monoclonal antibody (mAb). Purified mAb was prepared by protein A affinity chromatography. Purified mAb was confirmed to be essentially free of other proteins by immunoelectrophoresis. Specificity was substantiated by EIA. 1.3 SPECIFICITY Clone HP6014 – Mouse isotype IgG1 Epitope location: Fab 2 CAUTION This product contains sodium azide and must be handled with caution – do not ingest or allow contact with skin or mucous membranes. If contact does occur, wash with a large volume of water and seek medical advice. Explosive metal azides may be formed with lead and copper plumbing; on disposal of reagent, flush with a large volume of water to prevent azide build up. 3 STORAGE AND STABILITY Upon receipt this product should be stored at 2-8°C where it will remain stable until the given expiry date. It is normal for a slight amount of precipitation to occur with time. This should be removed by centrifugation and should not affect the performance characteristics. 4 APPLICATIONS This product is suitable for use in enzyme immunoassays (EIA) and has been QC tested as detailed below. The titres reported should be used as guidelines for determining the working dilution in the users system. EIA: To give an A450 = 1.0 using wells coated with human IgG2 myeloma protein at a concentration of 10µg/mL, a secondary antibody of peroxidase labelled sheep-anti-mouse IgG(H&L) (The Binding Site catalogue code AP271) and tetramethylbenzidine as the chromogen: 1/12800 – 1/25600 Suitability for use in other techniques such as immunohistology and immunoblotting procedures have not been assessed but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
