Version: 2 Revision Date: 07/08/2016 Purified anti-GABA(B)R2 Antibody (Previously Covance catalog# MMS-5137) Catalog# / Size 820501 / 100 µl Clone N81/2 (See other available formats) Other Names Gamma-aminobutyric acid type B receptor subunit 2, gb2, GABA-BR2, GABA-B-R2, GABA-B receptor 2, GABA -B receptor, R2 subunit, G protein-coupled receptor 51, G -protein coupled receptor 51, gamma-aminobutyric acid B receptor 2 Previously Covance Catalog# MMS-5137 Isotype Mouse IgG1 Ave. Rating ★★★★★ 0 reviews Description Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is the major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the mammalian brain where it acts at GABA-A receptors, which are ligand -gated chloride channels. Chloride conductance of these channels can be modulated by agents such as benzodiazepines that bind to the GABA-A receptor. The GABA-A receptor is generally pentameric and there are five types of subunits: alpha, beta, gamma, delta, and rho. Western blot showing Clone N81/2 specificity. Lane 1: Molecular Weight Standard; Lane 2: Mouse Brain Membrane Lysate. Staining of Clone N81/2 on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded mouse brain tissue. Reactivity Human, Mouse, Rat Immunogen This monoclonal antibody was raised against a fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 862 -913 (cytoplasmic C-terminus) of human GABA(B)R2. Formulation Phosphate-buffered solution. Preparation The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography. Concentration 1 mg/ml Storage & Handling The antibody solution should be stored undiluted between 2°C and 8°C. Please note the storage condition for this antibody has been changed from -20°C to between 2°C and 8°C. You can also check your vial or your CoA to find the most accurate storage condition for this antibody. Application WB, IHC Recommended Usage Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by Western blotting. The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition. • WB: 1:100* • IHC: 1:100 Tissue: Formalin-fixed Paraffin-embedded Pre-treatment: Citrate Primary incubation: 24 hours at 2-8°C Application Notes This antibody is effective in immunoblotting (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC). *Expected MW: 105 kD WB Positive Control: Mouse Brain Membrane Lysate IHC Positive Control: Mouse Brain RRID AB_2564841 (BioLegend Cat.
