A mental disorder is an illness that affects the mind and prevents
a person from being productive, adjusting to life situations, or
getting along with others. An example of this is schizophrenia.

experience in a person’s life.
Early in life, a person may have been locked up in a small closet
for a few years. Later when they reach adulthood, the maybe
afraid of small places (claustrophobia) or they may be afraid of
closets (closetophobia).

serious eating disorder in which a person refuses to eat enough
food to maintain a minimum normal body weight. Bulimia is a
serious eating disorder in which a person alternates eating with
binges with purging.
21. Distinguish between passive-aggressive and antisocial personality
disorders.
People with passive-aggressive disorders depend on others to
direct them. At the same time, they resent being told what to
do. Unable to be assertive and express their anger openly, they
vent it indirectly. People with antisocial personality disorders
perform cruel and violent acts without feeling any guilt. Because
of this, they usually have criminal records.
22. Why is schizophrenia one of the most severe of the mental
disorders?
Most of the time, the people who have this do not know what
they are doing. Therefore, they would not know if they were
doing anything wrong.
23. Why is depression linked to suicide?
