SALES & MARKETING
REPORTS TO: President
GRADE: E 06, Non-Seasonal, Full-Time
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for developing and implementing the Ruttger’s Brand strategy, including developing the
marketing and communication strategy for new and existing services for Ruttger’s. Responsible for implementing the
Ruttger’s marketing strategy, to include campaigns, events, digital marketing, and Public Relations. Responsible for
managing Ruttger’s social media presence, and directing programs to improve social media reputation and recognition.
Expected to work closely with the Ruttger’s Sales team, enabling them to meet their objectives by providing them with
appropriate tools, materials and presentations. Able to undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and
consumer trends. Maintain interdepartmental lines of communication, and interact on a daily basis with guests and
resort staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
 Assume overall responsibility for developing the annual marketing plan for Ruttger’s; strategic market planning;
market research programs; and control of the marketing budget.
 Plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
 Ensure effective control of marketing results, and take corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing
objectives falls within designated budgets.
 Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive
conditions.
 Monitor competitor services, sales and marketing activities.
 Establish and maintain a consistent image throughout all promotional materials and events. Assist other
departments within organization to prepare printed or online publications.
 Influence present and future Ruttger’s services by determining and evaluating current and future market trends.
 Establish a system of reports and communications for all information from the marketing team to the sales team,
and for feedback and requests from the sales team to the marketing team.
 Act as Ruttger’s representative with the media, stakeholders and potential clients, and build strategic partnerships.
 Coordinate media interest in Ruttger’s and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to
media requests.
 Foster positive working relationships and communication with all departments.
 Any and all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
 Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, or a related field preferred.
 Five (5) years’ experience in marketing, communications or public relations, with demonstrated success.
 Advanced skills in word processing, data base management and page layout.
 Experience writing press releases; overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications; making
presentations; negotiating with media; developing and managing budgets.

QUALIFICATIONS:
 Must be able to pass Ruttger’s background check.
 Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively communicate in one-on-one and
small group settings.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
In order to perform this job, the employee may be required to:
 Talk; hear; see in color; adjust focus to include close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision;
 Stand; walk; sit; kneel; lift; push; pull; move objects weighing up to forty (40) pounds;
 Reach with arms and hands.
 At times may be exposed to outside weather conditions.
