Students ride across Montana studying climate change in the West, and America's energy future. Cycle the Rockies: Energy and Climate Change in Montana What: Slide Show and Presentation When: June 15th from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Where: UM FLAT (The Forum for Living with Appropriate Technology) 633 5th Street East, Missoula A group of energetic university students will share experiences and photos from a bike tour across Montana, exploring our regional energy choices and the impacts of climate change in the Northern Rockies and Great Plains. This presentation is the culmination of a University of Montana / Wild Rockies Field Institute (WRFI) course entitled "Cycle the Rockies: Energy and Climate Change in Montana.” Students will be completing their journey to Missoula after a 700-mile, four-week expedition across the state visiting communities and landscapes affected by energy issues and climate change. This event will give participants an up-to-the-minute look at critical energy and climate issues in Montana. Details about the course can be found on the Wild Rockies Field Institute website where students are submitting daily weblogs about their experiences. http://www.wrfi.net/CycleTheRockies/ Please pass the word on to anyone you think might be interested.
