BIOL1 FRI The role of plasma cells and memory cells in producing a secondary response When an individual comes into contact with a particular antigen for the very first time, the initial production of antibodies is termed the PRIMARY RESPONSE. The SECONDARY RESPONSE is the production of antibodies for a second infection with the same antigen. BIOL1 FRI Primary and Secondary responses 1. Label the x-axis with time in 1 week periods. 2.
