Developed a novel hypothesis about a particular gene’s function and then tested it by
using RNAi to knock down the candidate gene using the model organism Caenorhabditis
elegans.
Discovery Project thesis title: Investigating thermosensation and response to heat shock
in AFD compromised C. elegans
Molecular skills: Extraction of DNA and RNA, gel electrophoresis, Sanger Sequencing,
conventional PCR, q-RT PCR, culturing of Caenorhabditis elegans, RNAi.
