Climate Change Programme
Suggested Consolidation of Projects
There have been several discussions about the number of projects within the Climate Change Programme, and the number that have not yet
started. There are constraints to what can be done within the Climate Change Programme due to limited staffing and monetary resources,
and also the sphere of influence of the WDSP. However, the ambitious targets for CO 2 reduction requires a similarly ambitious approach to
creating and driving forward the projects. This issue was discussed at the Climate Change Programme Board on 16 December 2010.
The following table lists the current projects, along with their priority areas for action and outcomes, and explains the decisions made on 16
December toward creating a more manageable Programme.
Outcome
Greenhouse Gas
Emissions
Reduction: Emissions
of carbon dioxide,
methane and nitrogen

District are low
Transport
Priority Area for Action
