Established in February 2006, the Aspiring Fund is a growth orientated fund, investing predominantly in New Zealand and Australian companies. It has a very open investment mandate and has the ability to hold assets outside Australasia, as well as fixed interest and cash, and can use derivatives to adjust exposures to particular markets, sectors or currencies. Devon Alpha Fund The Alpha Fund invests in a concentrated portfolio of 10 to 15 well researched shares predominantly in New Zealand and Australian listed companies. When there are few compelling investment opportunities, the Fund may hold cash or cash equivalent securities. Devon Australian Fund Portfolio Investment Entity (PIE). The fund invests in a diversified portfolio of 25-35 companies which are primarily Australian listed. The fund will not own New Zealand shares. The Australian market offers exposure to a number of sectors that are not available in New Zealand. The Fund is actively managed, which means the holdings may differ considerably from its ASX200 index. The fund may hold up to 20% cash or cash equivalent securities. Devon Trans-Tasman Fund Portfolio Investment Entity (PIE). The Fund invests in a high conviction portfolio of 25-35 New Zealand and Australian listed companies. The Fund can hold up to 100% NZ equities, up to 50% Australian equities and up to 50% cash or cash equivalents. The Fund aims to generate capital growth over the long term by actively managing its portfolio. Milford Active Growth Fund Portfolio Investment Entity (PIE). Established in October 2007, the fund invests in New Zealand and Australian companies and has a targeted return of 10%pa (after fees and before tax) over a minimum 5 year horizon. The fund typically holds between 50-100 companies and may hold up to 100% cash. No distributions are made by the fund. Milford Balanced Fund Portfolio Investment Entity (PIE). The objective of the Fund is to generate consistent and positive long term capital growth through a diversified mix of investments. The fund invests into other Milford Funds as well as international equities and is actively managed. Milford TransTasman Fund Portfolio Investment Entity (PIE). The fund’s objective is to outperform a mix of 50% ASX 200 Total Return Index (in NZ dollars) and 50% NZX 50 Portfolio Index.The Fund normally has more than 80% invested in New Zealand and Australian shares and will more closely track the performance of markets compared to the Active Growth Fund.
