T
he EPA and government leaders are determined to eliminate
coal fired power plants in order to reverse a perceived future
global catastrophe, which will cost our members and our
economy if we fail to continue using the God given resources which
produce CO2 when burned. Those resources being coal, natural gas,
propane, wood, and all biofuels, all of which produce CO2. I find it
interesting that politicians and grant seeking Phds now believe that
we can somehow control the weather. Meanwhile, world leaders see
this as a great opportunity for the transfer of wealth.
This path we’re going down ignores certain facts which are
brought out in the following questionnaire I wrote with the help of
Steve Goreham’s book, “The Mad, Mad, Mad World of Climatism.”
The answers are on the inside cover.
Climate Change Test
The European Union has committed to an 80% reduction in carbon emissions by 2050. President Barack Obama agrees, pledging to reduce US
emissions by 83% by 2050. That equates to .7 tons per person to get that
83% reduction. The last time the U.S. citizens were at levels of .7 tons per
person was in:
(a) 1962
(b) 1870
Note: Nigeria emits about .7 tons of carbon per person per year. Half the
population of Nigeria doesn’t have electricity and only three in 100 drives
a car.
2. After 20 years of subsidies, more than 160,000 wind turbines have been
installed across the world. As of 2010, wind turbines now supply:
(a) less than 1% of the world’s energy
(b) 7% of the world’s energy
3. Expectations are that the world will double its energy use by 2050. For
wind to provide 15% of the world’s energy, we will need to increase our
giant wind turbines from 160,000 to 3,000,000 which will cost:
(a) $600 billion
(b) $6 trillion
4. The current levels of CO2 in the atmosphere is 393 parts per million.
The U.S. federal threshold level for CO2 in underground mines is currently
_____ parts per million. During the 1940’s and earlier, the threshold level
was _____ parts per million:
(a) 5,000 – 12,000
(b) 1,200 – 2,000
5. Man emits 6 billion tons of CO2 into the air every year. Of all the
carbon that exists, what % of the world’s carbon gets emitted into the air
by man?
(a) .015%
(b) 7%
6. What’s nature’s most abundant greenhouse gas?
(a) water vapor
(b) carbon dioxide
Note: there is 500 times more water vapor than CO2
7. What 3 things affect our weather the most?
(a) CO2, ocean cycles, sun
(b) sun, clouds, ocean cycles
8. If the arctic ice completely melted, how much would sea levels rise?
(a) none
(b) 2 feet
9. Arctic ice represents:
(a) 2% of the global ice
(b) 18% of the global ice.
10. If the ice on Greenland melted or if the ice in Antarctica melted, it
would cause:
(a) No sea level rise
(b) Huge sea level rises
Note: These two are on land whereas arctic ice is floating ice.
11. In 2007 arctic sea ice reached a 30 year low. At that same time the
Antarctic sea ice:
(a) reached a 30 year high
(b) was unchanged.
12. Greenland represents _____% of the world’s ice and Antarctica represents _____% of the world’s ice.
(a) 23%, 55%
(b) 8%, 90%
13. Greenland’s ice cap is
(a) melting
(b) stable
Note: It’s melting around the edges and growing in the middle – overallstable.
14. F5 tornadoes are the most dangerous tornadoes of all. Between 1950
and 2010, which decade had the most F5 tornadoes?
(a) 2000 - 2010
(b) 1970 - 1980
15. Which decade had the least F5 tornadoes?
(a) 2000 - 2010
(b) 1950 -1960
16. When you look at a coal fired power plant from a distance, you will
see a plume of white smoke coming out of the smokestack. What you are
seeing is:
(a) CO2
(b) Water Vapor
Note: CO2 is invisible – you can’t see it.
17. Carbon represents _____ of the human body by weight.
(a) 0% -carbon is a pollutant and is not “internally” in the body.
(b) 18 %
18. Since 1980, the U.S. is now using 72% more electricity from coal fired
power plants. Since 1980,
(a) carbon monoxide is up 80%, lead up 93%, NOx up 48%, ozone
up 30% sulfur dioxide up 76%, carbon particulates up 38%, and small
particulates up 27%.
(b) carbon monoxide is down 80%, lead down 93%, NOx down
48%, ozone down 30%, sulfur dioxide down 76%, carbon particulates
down 38%, and small particulates down 27%.
19. What foods require CO2?
(a) none-CO2 is a pollutant
(b) all foods – meat, cheese, salad, bread, and soft drinks.
20. When NOAA says that temperatures in the U.S. are rising; they are
basing that on:
(a) raw temperature data
(b) raw temperatures that are adjusted upward to account for various factors (giving new meaning to “man-made global warming”)
21. In 1973 solar and wind accounted for less than .1% of the world’s
energy. By 2009 the solar and wind energy accounted for:
(a) .8% of the world’s energy supply
(b) 8% of the world’s energy supply
22. A solar panel the size of a card table at noon on a clear day will run a:
(a) personal computer with a color monitor
(b) 100 watt light bulb
23. To replace the Thomas Hill Power Plants with solar you would need a
land mass the size of:
(a) Moberly, MO
(b) Atlanta, GA
24. On average the 36,000 wind turbines in the U.S. in 2010 ran about:
(a) 50% of the time
(b) 27% of the time
25. Since 2002, the installed cost of wind turbines has
(a) increased 65% from $1,300 per KW to $2,150 per KW
(b) declined 65% from $2,150 per KW to $1,300 per KW
26. Biomass Power Plants release _____ CO2 than similar size coal and
natural gas plants.
(a) more
(b) less
27. Germany has almost as much solar power as the rest of the world
combined. German’s solar power provides _____ % of their country’s
energy needs.
(a) 25%
(b) 6%
28. The United Kingdom plans to spend $154 billion on wind and solar.
That amounts to _____ for every household in the UK.
(a) $1,000
(b) $6,000
29. In 2000 shale gas was only 1% of the U.S. gas supply. In 2010, it was _____%
(a) 25%
(b) 10%
30. More than 500,000 wells have been drilled using fracking in the U.S.
over the last 30 years and the documented number of water pollution
incidents are:
(a) less than 5
(b) less than 50
(c) more than 100
More than $1 trillion has been spent over the last 10 years trying to “decarbonize” our world’s energy systems, and another $1 trillion is expected
to be spent over the next 4 years. Less than half that amount will be spent
on international aid addressing hunger, disease, and poverty.

When we exhale, the CO2 coming out of our
mouth is 100 times more concentrated than the
CO2 in the atmosphere.
Climate change is real. Global warming is real.
Global cooling is real. The climate continually
changes and has throughout history.

More than 1.2 million camels roam the outback of
Australia expelling methane gas which is even worse
on the climate than expelling CO2 according to the
IPCC. So, to fight this climate change causer, Australia passed the Carbon Farming Initiative Act in 2011
authorizing the shooting of feral goats, feral deer, feral
pigs, and feral camels from helicopters. (And we’re
worried about polar bears.)

which is pretty bad. Their original prediction was
that it would destroy the planet.”
