2. Arrange the following in order from smallest to largest
organelle Cell tissue Organ, organ system., Organism, , ,
3. What is a tissue?
A tissue is a group of cells with similar structures working
together to carry out a particular function
4. In plants, leave are an example of a?
A. Organ
B. Organ system
C. Tissue
5. Define an organ system, giving two examples, and
listing 1 organs within the systems your chose. (7 marks).
An organ system is a collection of organs, which come
togethor to preform a specific task.
Circulatory system – Heart
Nervous – brain
6. Create a Ven-diagram, listing the similarities and
differences between plant and animal cells. (6 marks)

Animal Cell
Small temporary vacuoles
Glycogen stores
7. Write out the sentence and fill in the blanks as you do.
The Chloroplast are specialised organelles filled with
chlorophyll. They are found in plant cells and their main
role is to assist in photosynthesis. Another specific
feature to plant cells is a cell wall made of cellulose.
Organelles like the nucleus and ribosome, float in the
cytoplasm. A jelly like material.
mitochondia are responsible for cellular respiration and
found in both plant and animal cells.
8. Tubes within the plant called the Xylem and Phloem transport
water and food throughout the plant. While water travels up the
plants, glucose and amino acids travel down the plant.
