Dr. Lou Pelton Serves as Guest Editor of a Special Issue of the
Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing
Lou E. Pelton, associate professor of marketing in the College
of Business at the University of North Texas, is guest editor of
a special issue addressing radio frequency identification
knowledge and practice.
The special issue is titled, “Radio Frequency Identification
(RFiD): fact or fiction, hype or reality?” It is catalogued as
volume 25, issue 9. The issue was released in December 2010 to libraries and
subscribers worldwide.
The special issue focuses on a “the next seismic shift in technology deployment”
in marketing channels and supply chain management. The volume includes
research contributions focusing on theoretical and practical issues underlying
RFiD deployment in global supply chains.
Dr. Pelton has been a guest editor of this journal, the Journal of Business and
Entrepreneurship, among others. He was the longest-reigning editor of the
Journal of Marketing Channels, the premier publication outlet for advancing
marketing channels research.
The Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing is published by Emerald Group
Publishing Inc. headquartered in the United Kingdom. It is referenced by every
major academic search engine, including ABI/INFORM, EBSCO, and SSCI. For
