About 25,000 years ago. It was 9°C
below the 1961-1990 average.

About 410,000 years ago the temperature reached 2°C above average before falling to a
minimum of 8°C below average 330,000 years ago. Temperatures climbed rapidly to about
3°C above average 325,000 years ago. Between 325,000 and 265,000 years ago
temperatures fluctuate but dropped to almost 9°c below average before increasing to
another maximum 245,000 years ago with temperatures 2°C above average. A long period of
general cooling occurred between 245,000 and 145,000 years ago with a minimum of 9°C
below average reached. Once again, there was a rapid warming with a maximum of 3°C
above average reached 130,000 years ago. A prolonged period of cooling then occurred with
some fluctuation to a minimum of 9°C below average 25,000 years ago. There has been a
general warming trend since that point with a maximum about 5,000 years ago of 2°C above
average.
