Jason P. Belaire -
Jason Belaire has 20 years of experience as a product designer, industrial designer, product developer, product
manager, and product photographer for high-profile global clients in the outdoor industry. His specialties include industrial design services, product
management, graphic design, packaging design, marketing collateral development, marketing collateral management, product management, and
lifestyle photography. He has designed, managed, and led national and international product development efforts for innovative and award-winning
sleeping bags, backpacks, tents, outdoor furniture, and lighting.
Jason has designed, developed, and led product management efforts for outdoor product lines produced by Lafuma Groupe, Sierra Designs,
Ultimate Direction, Kelty, Slumberjack, Wenger Swiss Army, Mountainsmith, Browning Camping, and Cabela's. Products he has designed have won
Backpacker Magazine Editors’ Choice Awards, Camping Life Editors’ Choice Awards, Explore Magazine’s Best Gear Awards, and Urban Climber
Gear Guide Awards. The Kelty Kids Carrier 3.0 backpack he designed was profiled on the TODAY Show and in Outside Magazine in 2010.
John Burton - John Burton is sales and marketing pro with 15+ years of domestic and global experience. He has a strong focus on the
Action Sports and the Outdoor Industries where he's managed strategic market planning, brand building, product management and P&L efforts.
Competencies include interactive strategy and tactical implementation, demand generation and B2C - B2B sales channel development. Client
engagements include: Sun Valley, K2, DaKine, Smartwool, Superfeet, Nike, DPS Skis, Outdoor Research and Teva. John and his family live, work
and play hard in Hood River, Oregon.
Codie Costello - Codie came to Spawn with 20 years’ leadership experience in management that spanned several industries. In those
years, she held titles like executive director, director of audience services and education, director of marketing and director of development. She
presently manages communications programs for Spawn clients like The Salmon Project, an initiative to engage Alaskans around their collective
love of salmon, and The Alaska Winter Olympians Foundation. Codie also leads Spawn’s business development for the Outdoor category. You can
find Codie’s family camping nearly every weekend in Alaska’s great outdoors.
Charlotte Crawford - Indoor Ski USA Founder, Charlotte Crawford, grew up in the Netherlands and spent winters as a ski instructor in
Switzerland. During the year, Charlotte worked at indoor ski centers in The Netherlands helping to prepare winter sports enthusiasts, young and old,
to learn to ski and snowboard or to continue to expand their skills. As a passionate skier, Charlotte desperately missed the ability to ski year-round
when she moved to the United States. After six years in Manhattan, she decided to team up with one of the pioneers of indoor skiing and
snowboarding and her former boss, Rob van Schie, to bring the technology to consumers in the United States, one of the largest markets for winter
sports.
David Cutler -
David Cutler is a Sales and Marketing Strategist for organizations of all sizes that want to discover better ways to take

Bill Cutting -
As Director of Brand Strategy for TWIO Brand clients, Bill Cutting is in a position to apply his skills and experience most
effectively. He began his career in production with ABC Sports. Through stints in broadcasting, sports film distribution, journalism, advertising and,
finally, in the Utah agency business, he established himself as one of the region's top communications professionals. In 1984 he helped found Penna
Powers Cutting & Haynes, ultimately growing the company to its current position as one of the top advertising agencies in Utah. Bill's work for clients
such as Medicode (now OptumInsight), 3M, DOD/DigiTech, the Salt Lake Olympic Organizing Committee (SLOOC), the Los Angeles Olympic
Organizing Committee (LAOOC), Marker USA and others, he earned a reputation for creativity, depth, and precision. During the past decade, as
chief strategist for TWIO Brand and its predecessor New Moon Media, Bill has used his unique abilities to create strategies, build brands and
develop new business for a host of companies, both business-to-business and consumer, including The Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah, Reynolds
Cycling, C.R. England, and others. A competitive cyclist and semi-professional musician, Bill also teaches graduate-level strategy in the Gore School
of Business, Westminster College.

Ann Edson - Ann Edson began her marketing and exporting career working for one of the nation's largest frozen food facilities, JR Wood
Inc., located in the San Joaquin Valley of Central California. While at JR Wood, she oversaw marketing and the international division, which exported
to over thirty countries worldwide. She was also responsible for directing facilities located in Guatemala and Hong Kong. In 2001 Ann took over as
Chairman of the Board at JR Wood and, over a 2-year period, successfully negotiated a sale of this closely held family-owned business to Dole
Foods for over $180M. After JR Wood, Ann continued to consult with small to mid-sized family-owned businesses on turnaround, sale and merger
transactions. Currently, Ann acts as a private facilitator for the National Institute for Standards and Technology-Manufacturing Extension
Partnership's ExporTech™ Program. In this role, she draws upon her extensive and unique background in international exporting.
Ann holds an undergraduate degree in Marketing, an MBA with an emphasis in International Business and currently completing a Masters in
International Diplomacy.
Kevin Flannery -
Kevin is the PPC Specialist at Elevated Third and has extensive experience creating and optimizing paid search
campaigns to generate increased revenue for various companies. He has over 5 years of professional PPC and paid search experience, and has
worked for clients that include: The Wynn Casino and Hard Rock Casino, FASTSIGNS, Batteries Plus, Richmond American Homes and Fresh
Produce Clothing. Kevin earned a B.A. in Advertising from Michigan State University and currently holds certifications in Google Analytics, Google
Adwords and Bing Ads.
Tom Flierl - Tom leads the HDC Sales and Marketing teams where he leverages more than 20 years of business experience in technology,
marketing and media. Tom knows what it takes to successfully manage and grow a business. He has more than 12 years of executive experience
leading the integration of sales and marketing, and has held equity positions in two companies including a successful start-up firm.
Pete Frickland -
Since the mid ‘70’s, Pete has been involved in developing new and improved products and driving them to market.
Beginning with build-to-print composite aerospace components, he graduated to one-off build-to-spec deep space and terrestrial applications at
CalTech/JPL. From there, he moved to Seattle to head consumer-driven product development at Cascade Designs. During his 20 years at Cascade,
he oversaw the integrated growth and development of several well-known product-driven outdoor brands, including Therm-a-Rest, MSR, SealLine,
Platypus, PackTowl and Tracks. Along the way, he was instrumental in the development and commercialization of hundreds of new products. For the
past 8 years, Pete has been an independent consultant specializing in the application of pragmatic product development management processes,
methods and tools that have proven themselves to be effective at getting more of the right products to market, faster, and with fewer resources.
Jon Hart - Born long ago on an island in Canada, all the events in Jon's life have built up to this very moment. This chance to meet you and
say, "hello." One of the founding members of Swarm, Jon is one of those lucky people who gets to design and build things for a living. With a focus
on making products that delight users, Swarm has worked with companies like Cane Creek Cycling and Deuter to turn cool ideas into excellent
products. Educated as an engineer, Jon has spent the last decade bridging the gaps between design, engineering, and manufacturing. He's made all
the mistakes, and he'd like to share some of those lessons with you. He also likes beer and mountain biking.
David Howell - David Howell is the Director of Brand Protection for Channel IQ. In his over fourteen years of experience in the industry,
David has become a thought-leader in the brand protection community. Recently, David has consulted for major U.S based businesses companies
including Apple, GoPro, and Wal-Mart on service, delivery and the development of Online Brand Protection, Gray Market, Anti-Counterfeit Sales,
Global Domain Management and Reputation Management.
David regularly works in collaboration with cross-functional legal and marketing teams to develop corporate best practices enforcement strategies.
He focuses on converting assets from brand infringement companies and correctly redirecting interest to the proper brand.
David’s past experience includes consulting for global fortune 2000 companies where he focused heavily on the protection of intellectual property,
trademarks and corporate domain names online within SaaS and ASP solution platforms.
Dan Jablons - Dan Jablons worked in retail while attending the Ohio State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in
Marketing and Production. He has worked with retailers such as Walmart, Target, JC Penney, American Apparel, Betsey Johnson, Donna Karan,
Jimmy Choo, Charles David, Diesel, Oakley, Tumi, Hollywood Bowl, and many others. He has worked for a clothing manufacturer where he piloted

vendor-managed inventory programs, a leading point-of-sale provider (where he installed systems and provided merchandising help to retailers large
and small) and internet marketing (where he helped retailers establish a presence on the web.) In addition to his vast retail background, Dan also
has a background in improvisational theatre. He has performed with comedy troupes all across the USA, and recently appeared on Curb Your
Enthusiasm. Dan combines his extensive knowledge of retail with his comedy skills to become one of the industry's most popular speakers. He has
spoken at Magic, at local municipal and trade show events, and many other venues.
Danielle Kristmanson -
Origin Design + Communications is a Whistler and Montreal-based strategic marketing, creative and
communications firm specializing in mountain sports and resort tourism. As Origin’s founding partner and Creative Director, Danielle Kristmanson
boasts a wealth of expertise in mountain sports and tourism marketing. Her work with brands such as Whistler Blackcomb, Tourism Whistler,
Intrawest, Sun Valley Resort/Sun Valley Marketing Alliance, Telluride Tourism Board, the Canadian Ski Council, Bike Parks of B.C. and many others
has positioned her as one of the industry’s leading creative strategists and brand development specialists. Kristmanson holds a Bachelor of Applied
Science in Communications and Marketing from Simon Fraser University. A Whistler resident for over 20 years, Kristmanson balances directing
Origin’s Whistler studios with an aggressive snowboard, mountain bike and travel schedule.
M-J Legault - As one of the mountain sport industry’s leading marketing strategists, M.J. Legault is the driving force behind several mountain
and tourism campaigns. She is a Partner and Strategic Planning Director at Origin Design + Communications, a strategic marketing, creative and
communications firm specializing in mountain sports and resort tourism, with offices in both Whistler and Montreal. Legault holds a degree in
Marketing from Concordia University and has worked in ad agencies based in British Columbia, Colorado and Vermont, never straying far from the
mountains that inspire her. Legault has worked with brands such as Jay Peak Resort, Salomon, The North Face, Rocky Mountain Bicycles and
Intrawest/Playground, to name a few. When she’s not snowboarding with her son at Jay Peak, you can find her riding her Triumph Thruxton on a
twisty road somewhere.
Kelly Manning - Kelly Manning oversees the operational management, strategic planning and financial planning of the Colorado SBDC
Network, a $3.5 million federal, state, and locally funded program. Under Manning's leadership and ability to manage change, the Colorado SBDC
has successfully increased the number of jobs it's clients have created/retained by 800 percent; increased capital formation obtained by clients by
275 percent; and increased the return on investment by more than 50 percent, proving Manning's ability to align her continually changing goals with
statewide strategies.
Since Manning started with the Colorado SBDC in 2000, she has successfully moved the SBDC network to a performance-based program while
implementing numerous initiatives to assist the growing needs of small business entrepreneurs, including programs, conferences and training for
veterans, women, emerging industries and creative businesses.
Manning attended New Hampshire College School of Business and obtained a bachelor's degree in business administration. She also holds a
master's degree in communication with a certificate in dispute resolution from the University of Denver.
Philip Matthews - Philip Matthews is currently an Attorney with the Webb Intellectual Property Law Group in Salt Lake City. His primary
focus is on brand protection, trademarks, copyrights and licensing. Philip spends most of his time counseling clients on how to reduce their risk of
intellectual property infringement while maximizing their intellectual property protection. This practice includes acquiring, licensing, and selling
trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets on both a national and international level, including acquisition of non-traditional trademarks for clients
such as certain colors, product arrangements, and product shapes.
Some of Philip’s greatest accomplishments include management of over 200 trademarks in the United States, prosecution of trademarks in over 40
countries, and successful defense and enforcement in many infringement matters. Additionally, Philip especially enjoys working with outdoor sporting
goods companies such as Airblaster Outerwear, Defcon Gloves, Demon Snow, Str/ke MVMNT Footwear, and XERO Shoes. Philip is originally from
Portland, Oregon and attended the University of Utah where he received his Bachelors Degree in Political Science and Economics graduating on the
Dean’s List, and later attended Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane Washington on a merit scholarship.
Philip and his family currently reside in Salt Lake City, Utah where he currently enjoys the opportunity to hike, bike, camp and snowboard.

Patrick Monahan - Patrick Monahan is the president of PM Product Development and has over 15 years of experience working in New
Product Development. In that time he has designed consumer products, medical products, commercial equipment and sports equipment. His
specialties include industrial design services, mechanical design, ergonomic design, user centered design and leading user research initiatives, as
well as design for manufacture specializing in plastic and metal components and mechanical assembly. Patrick's background in manufacturing
allows him to create innovative products that add value to the customer, embrace appropriate aesthetics and are also efficiently produced. Patrick
grew up skiing, snowboarding, sledding and hiking in New Hampshire and currently lives year-round in Colorado where he continues to enjoy the
outdoors and the Rocky Mountains all year long.
Nigel Moore - Nigel Moore is a seasoned executive with a 30+year portfolio of success, proactively driving change in the manufacturing and
service sectors designed to systematically create or expand a company’s domestic and international business. Nigel has over 20 years of
management consulting experience in new business development and International sales, operations and general management. Nigel currently
works with the National Institute of Standards and Technology-Manufacturing Extension Partnership program working to improve performance and
operations within its 60 centers nationally and specifically is part of the National ExporTech™ Team as an Export Consultant developing export
opportunities for manufacturers and expanding the ExporTech™ brand. Nigel holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and an
EMBA with an emphasis in Marketing.
Kathy Norford - Kathy has been on Spawn’s media team since 1999, and has served as media director for the past five years. In this role,
she directs all aspects of the media department’s integrated planning and buying strategy for a wide range of agency clients. Her experience is broad
— from local and regional media planning to national campaigns. She’s an avid tennis player and is based in Denver.
Christine Pierpoint -
For the past 20 years, Christine has been at the intersection of communications and technology and has lead
strategy for countless campaigns that span web, social and mobile channels. As new technologies emerge and consumer behaviors evolve,
Christine works with brands to ensure they achieve measurable success across the digital landscape. At IMRE, she manages a team of more than
30 social, digital and creative experts to develop integrated strategies for brands like John Deere, Target, Smith Optics, Nordica, Tecnica and
PowerBar. In her free time, Christine applies her years of industry experience to higher education. She is a member of the advisory board at
Stevenson University in Maryland on the creation of a Masters in Digital Marketing and also a guest lecturer for Johns Hopkins University.
Jim Risner -
Jim is an award-winning Internet marketing executive with over 16 years of experience creating and marketing world-class
websites, applications, and promotions. Since co-founding Votigo in mid-2006, Jim has helped several leading brands, including Ford, Starwood
Hotels & Resorts, Dell, Sharpie, and Corona, as well as top-tier advertising agencies including Ogilvy, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, DraftFCB, and
Arnold Worldwide develop and implement successful social media marketing solutions. Before founding Votigo, Jim spent nearly 7 years at United
Online, Inc. where he was a key member of the executive staff helping take it from 1 million users to over 20 million. Jim most recently appeared on
an episode of the Travel Channel's show Hotel Impossible to provide expertise on social marketing and has spoken on social media panels at CES,
Likeable Summit, and DemoGala - Colorado Technology Association as well as guest lectures on social media marketing at UNC Chapel Hill, and
CU Boulder. Jim holds his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Sean Roylance - Sean Roylance is the President and Director of Development for Merchant. Previously he was the VP of Marketing at
Infiniti Corporation after working as the VP of Development at Podango. Sean has a degree in Computer Science from BYU, 17 years of internet
development experience, and over 12 years of internet marketing experience. To date, Sean has worked with over 1,300 businesses to help them
improve their online presence and performance. Merchant specializes in providing a seamless website & point-of-sale solution for ski shops and
other specialty retailers.
Jared Snelson - Jared Snelson has 10 years of experience in the specialty snowsports industry. He has worked in the retail space as a
Retail Manager, Snowboard Hardgoods Buyer, and Online Retail Manager. Jared is currently Business Development Manager for Shopatron, where
he has worked for more than two years helping snowsports brands such as LibTech, GNU, K2 Sports, Analog, and Volkl with their eCommerce and
online marketing program needs.

Crystalyn Stuart - For more than a decade, Crystalyn has been leading innovative social marketing campaigns for an array of clients,
including brands like Smith Optics, Target, John Deere, Nordica, Tecnica, Black & Decker, DEWALT and 180s. She is a frequently requested
speaker on social marketing strategy who has pioneered the art, science and business of social marketing for high-loyalty brands worldwide.
Crystalyn’s career includes work within the snowsports industry, specifically with ski resorts, manufacturers and brands focused on targeting the
high-loyalty fan.Crystalyn currently leads the social marketing practice at IMRE. She heads up a team of more than 20 dedicated social marketing
experts who build, manage and promote numerous social media channels worldwide.
Shaun Tinney - Shaun Tinney is a partner and director of research and strategy at The Good (thegood.com), a digital firm that helps brands
grow lasting relationships with active lifestyle consumers through rewarding digital experiences on the web, on mobile and in stores.
Since joining The Good as a partner in 2010, Shaun has helped lead the firm to become one of Oregon’s 100 fastest growing private companies. In
addition to leading the research and strategy for The Good, Shaun also writes and speaks frequently on how active lifestyle brands can use digital to
reach their sales and service potential.
Roy Tuscany -
After his own personal injury, Roy Tuscany became the personality behind and founder of the High Fives Non-profit
Foundation -- an organization dedicated to raising money and awareness for athletes that have suffered a life-altering injury while pursuing their
dream in the winter action sports community. High Fives continues to grow at a rate that has exceeded all expectations, successfully raising funds,
securing alternative treatments, and aiding in the recovery of over 49 athletes.
Mandy Wodnick - Mandy is the SEO/SEM Specialist at Elevated Third and has extensive experience optimizing websites to generate
increased revenue for various companies. She has over 6 years of professional SEO experience and has worked for clients that include: Houghton
Mifflin Harcourt, National Freight Industries, Marriott International, Hilton Hotels and the Oxford and Curtis hotels. Mandy earned a B.A. in English
from the University of Colorado at Boulder and currently holds certifications in Google Analytics and Google Adwords.
Ray Wener - As Senior Account Executive, Ray Wener is responsible for managing aspects of Celerant Technology’s strategic revenue
growth from both new and existing business. His mission is to advise clients on custom solutions that make the most sense for their unique business
needs and are of optimal scale. Ray brings more than 10 years of sales and sales management experience in the retail technology space, and has
an extensive hospitality management and consulting background. He has a comprehensive knowledge of, and background in reports and analysis
using advanced tools such as datamining and data warehousing.
