Two months before the international community comes together for COP21 in Paris, this conference will address how influential and inspirational game-changers
from the business sector, organisations and government are taking action to promote and accelerate the Green Shift. Public and private investment decisions
made globally now, about investments in the future, have significant consequences. It is therefore imperative to combine capital, innovation and government
facilitation in face of the major challenge that climate change presents, to find viable long-term solutions. Who is leading this change? Through inspiring talks
from key players in the public policy and commercial entrepreneurship settings, this conference aims to encourage green entrepreneurship and sustainable

ERNA SOLBERG
Prime Minister of Norway
Erna Solberg is the current Prime Minister of Norway and has been the leader of the Conservative party since
2004. Solberg has been a member of the Norwegian parliament since 1989 and served as Minister of Local
Government and Regional Development. After winning the elections in 2013, she became the second female
Prime Minister of Norway.
During her term as Prime Minister of Norway, she has emphasized the importance of fighting climate change by
adopting the EU’s ambitious climate goals, aiming for a 40 % reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
Prime Minister Solberg has also underlined the importance of the climate change negotiations COP21 in Paris this
December, stating that Norway and the world needs to take brave new steps towards a low-carbon economy.
Rt Hon AMBER RUDD
MP Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change
Amber Rudd is the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change and Member of Parliament for
Hastings & Rye. She was previously the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State of the Department of
Energy and Climate Change from July 2014 until May 2015 and served on the Environment, Food and Rural
Affairs Select Committee from 2012 to 2013. Ms Rudd graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a
degree in history, and has previously worked in investment banking in the City of London and New York.
At the Department of Energy & Climate Change, Rudd oversees policies and initiatives such as UK energy
security, consumer and climate change policies, and international climate change negotiations.
JAMES CAMERON
Chairman of Overseas Development Institute
James Cameron was appointed Chair of the Board of ODI in 2012. He is one of the world’s pre-eminent experts
in developing market-based policy responses to climate change. Prior to ODI, he was Chairman of Climate
Change Capital, Counsel to Baker & McKenzie and was the founder and the head of their Climate Change
Practice.
Cameron has spent much of his legal career working on climate change matters, including negotiating the
UNFCCC and Kyoto Protocol as an adviser to the Alliance of Small Island States. He has held academic
positions at Cambridge, London, Bruges and Sydney and is currently affiliated with the Yale Centre for
Environmental Law and Policy. As a barrister, he appeared in several of the leading cases in environmental law.
He is the Chairman of the Carbon Disclosure Project and a treasurer of REEEP and a trustee of The Climate
Group, as well as a board member of GE Ecomagination.
YNGVE SLYNGSTAD
CEO of NBIM / Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global
Yngve Slyngstad has since 2008 been the Chief Executive Officer of Norges Bank Investment Management
(NBIM), which is responsible for managing the Government Pension Fund Global. He holds a degree in Law
from the University of Oslo, Business Management from the Norwegian School of Economics, Economics from
University of California and Political Science from the University of Paris.
Norway’s sovereign wealth fund is by far the largest in the world, owning about 1% of all listed global stocks.
Part of the NBIM investment strategy is a focus on responsible investments for the future, which is further
ensured through the fund’s Council of Ethics. Mr Slyngstad features on Forbe’s top 100 Powerful People as well
as Chief Investment Officer Magazine’s top 100 Influential Investors. His decisions as head of the NBIM
therefore have a profound influence on debates surrounding sustainable investment.
LUDO BAMMENS
EMEA Corporate Affairs Director, KKR
Ludo Bammens joined KKR as the Director of European Corporate Affairs in 2009. KKR is a global investment
firm that manages investments across multiple asset classes including private equity, energy, infrastructure, real
estate, capital markets, credit strategies and hedge funds. His responsibilities include public affairs and
communications in Europe. Bammens has previously served as Vice President, Public Affairs and
Communications Director for the Europe Group of Coca-Cola Enterprises. He is widely recognised for building
an integrated corporate social responsibility strategy into Coca-Cola’s business operations in Europe. Bammens
joined Coca-Cola from Janssen Pharmaceutical where he was Director of European Public Affairs.
Bammens is honorary member of the Executive Board of the Belgian Banking and Market Supervisory Authority
and former member of the Stakeholder Group of the European Securities and Market authority.
MARTIN KIPPING
Director International IT Projects, Rittal GmbH & Co.KG
Martin Kipping is since 2009 the Director of International IT Projects at Rittal GmbH & Co.KG. Rittal is a world
leading systems provider for enclosures, power distribution, climate control, IT infrastructure and software &
services. His role involves sales and realisation of worldwide data centres as well as business development and
project management. Kipping’s key areas of expertise include green IT and energy efficiency. Prior to joining
Rittal, Kipping was Area Sales Manager for Asia Pacific at Lampertz GmbH & Co.KG.
ARAM WOOD
Head of Strategy and Policy, Wind Power, Statkraft
Aram Wood joined Statkraft in 2012. Statkraft is Europe’s largest renewable energy generator, with operations in
more than 20 countries. He leads a team developing the strategic direction for the Wind Power business,
understanding markets and industry trends and translating this knowledge into business development
opportunities. His teams responsibilities also include the range of public affairs activities. Prior to joining
Statkraft, Aram spent 17 years in the UK civil service in a variety of roles. This included Head of Renewables
Strategy and Delivery in the Department of Energy and Climate Change between 2008-2012 where he was
responsible for creating the renewable energy strategies for the Labour and Coalition governments. Aram has a
first degree in marine biology and a second degree in freshwater biology.
MARK FLORMAN
Chairman, The Centre for Social Justice
In 1992 Mark created Maizels Westerberg & Co., one of the first independent pan-European merchant banks. He
went on to specialise in the restructuring of failing companies. Between 2001 and 2008 he was Senior Principal
at the private equity firm Doughty Hanson and served as CEO of the BVCA from 2011 to 2013.
Mark has advised a wide variety of governments and industries. He is also an entrepreneur, having founded
businesses in technology, media , transportation, publishing, private equity, banking and leisure, as well as think
tanks, school building and international development programmes, charities and political campaigns.
Mark is a member of the Social Impact Investment Taskforce established by the G8, and has coined the term
“External Rate of Reform” to describe the impact business activity has on society.
Mark is Chairman of Fortitude Partners, a strategic communications consulting company operating at the leading
edge of developing sustainable business strategy for corporations. Other principle positions currently include:

Dr. GUNHILD STORDALEN
Director of the EAT Initiative
Gunhild Stordalen is the founder and chair of the EAT Initiative which is owned by the Stordalen Foundation that
she co-founded with her husband Petter Stordalen. Stordalen is a driving force in linking climate, health and
sustainability, through conferences such as Stockholm’s ‘Global Health – Beyond 2015’, Oxford University’s
‘ReSource2012’, and the annual ‘Zero Emission Conference’ in Oslo. She sits on the steering committee of a
new UCL-Lancet commission on policies to address climate change. Since 2013, Stordalen has served on
Norway’s high-level National Council for Sustainable Urban Planning. She is on the board of several NGOs, such
as ZERO, ECOHZ Renewable Energy Foundation and the international advisory board of The Stockholm
Resilience Centre.
Stordalen has been ranked among the 100 most influential Norwegian Women by the financial magazine Kapital.
She was named Woman of the Year 2013 for her environmental work by the Norwegian magazine KK, and
chosen as Environmental Hero of the Year by WWF Sweden in 2014.
Dr. SOLVEIG VAN NES
Manager - Aquaculture, The Bellona Foundation
Solveig van Nes manages Bellona's activities within the field of aquaculture. She is also managing Bellona's R&D
-activities in the recently founded Ocean Forest, with the aim to combine carbon capture with production of
marine biomass in integrated aquaculture systems. Besides her positions in Bellona van Nes also sits on the
programme board of the Norwegian Research Council’s programme for Aquaculture Research as well as on the
board of the company Ocean Forest. Dr. van Nes holds an academic background in marine biology (Cand
Scient) and aquaculture (Dr.Scient), and has previous extensive experience as a senior research scientist at the
Norwegian Aquaculture, Fisheries and Food Research Institute (Nofima). Through academic work, legal action
and non-violent activism, The Bellona Foundation has spurred concrete changes in environmental policy and
awareness among political and business leaders, both in Norway and abroad.
MIKE MITCHELL
Group Technical & CSR Director, Young’s Seafood
Mike has worked in the seafood industry since joining Ross Foods as a graduate in 1981. Working mainly in
Quality and Technical management, Mike has held a wide range of operational roles within the business that is
today known as Young’s Seafood and which is part of the Findus Group. Mike was formerly Director of Corporate
Social Responsibility for Findus Group and in September 2011 accepted the role of Technical and Corporate
Social Responsibility Director for Young’s Seafood in the UK. Mike has a longstanding interest in seafood
provenance and sustainability issues, and since 2005 has been a key driver of the group’s multiple award
winning business approach to responsible seafood sourcing ‘Fish for Life’. A specialist in wild fish capture
fisheries as well as aqua cultural production systems, Mike has a broad experience of the ethical and
environmental aspects of seafood production. Mike participates widely in a number of industry and sectorial
bodies, including at this time; the Marine Stewardship Council’s Stakeholder Council, the steering group of The
Scottish Seafood Partnership, the Seafish Processors and Markets Panel and he currently sits on the board of
Seafood Scotland on behalf of the Scottish Food and Drink Association.
GEOFFREY LEAN

Geoffrey Lean is Britain's longest-serving environmental correspondent, having pioneered reporting on the
subject almost 40 years ago, long before it became fashionable. Geoffrey is now Consulting Editor
(Environment) for the Daily Telegraph, following a long career with the Independent on Sunday, the Observer
and the Yorkshire Post. Geoffrey has also authored numerous environmental books and reports including ‘Rich
World, Poor World’, ‘Chernobyl, The End of the Nuclear Dream’ (co-author), and ‘The Atlas of the Environment’ (General Editor).
Voted the "most impressive environmental journalist in Britain" seven times in an annual poll among his
colleagues, Geoffrey has also won numerous awards including Scoop of the Year in the British Press Awards
and the Martha Gelhorn Award for investigative journalism.
OWAIN SERVICE
Managing Director, The Behavioural Insights Team
Owain Service is the Managing Director and Board Director of the Behavioural Insights Team (BIT), the world’s
first government institution dedicated to the application of behavioural sciences. He was previously a Deputy
Director of the Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit, where he led programmes of work on public service reform,
education and energy. While at the Foreign Office, Service chaired European negotiations during the UK
Government’s 2005 Presidency of the European Union. BIT’s objectives include making public services more
cost-effective and easier for citizens to use; improving outcomes by introducing a more realistic model of human
behaviour to policy; and wherever possible, enabling people to make “better choices for themselves”. Service has
written widely on public policy strategy and behavioural insights and co-authored most of BIT’s papers.
ERIC VAN DER KLEIJ
Head of Level 39
Eric Van der Kleij is Head of Level39, Europe's largest accelerator space focussing on finance, retail, cyber, and
future-cities technologies, and special adviser to the Canary Wharf Group on its proposition and strategy for
technology companies. Eric is also MD of Entiq. In early 2011, he was appointed the first Chief Executive of the
Tech City Investment Organisation, an organisation and strategy he created, which was charged by the Prime
Minister with accelerating the growth of London's "Silicon Roundabout" technology cluster. Eric also helped the
UK government establish the highly successful Global Entrepreneur Programme, and was Special Advisor on
Major Projects at UK Trade and Investment. Eric is also part of Innovate Finance's Advisory Council, a new
industry group and members organisation designed to give the UK's burgeoning fintech community a voice and a
brand to help the UK become an even greater leader in global technology-led financial services. At his core Eric
is a technology entrepreneur, having previously founded pioneering credit card fraud and collections alerting
company Adeptra (raised a record $40M - sold 2012 to NYSE FICO). Eric volunteers for the Tech City UK
advisory board with the objective to provide strategic direction for the UK government’s efforts to support the tech
cluster in East London, and is a volunteer on the Tech London Advocates Immigration group.
MARK LINE
Senior Principal Consultant, Business Assurance,, DNV GL
Mark Line is a Senior Principal Consultant at DNV GL. With a career focused on corporate sustainability that
has spanned over three decades, he is widely recognised as one of the leading players in developing the global
sustainability market. He was previously a co-founder and Executive Chairman of the Corporate Responsibility
(CR) and Sustainability agency, TwoTomorrows, and played a leading role in developing the international team
that joined DNV GL in 2012. Mark has supported major multinational corporations to develop and build their
approach to CR and sustainability across most industry sectors – key examples include Bacardi Limited, Toyota
Motor North America, ArcelorMittal and Guardian News and Media. For nearly a decade, he signed off
Unilever’s global environmental disclosures. He has facilitated sensitive multi-stakeholder processes for many
companies, including for BP in New Orleans, Washington, London and Rio de Janeiro in the period following the
Deepwater Horizon spill. In 2008, he was selected by the EU and UNDP as the lead senior international
expert to construct a baseline for CR across ‘new’ Europe. In 2015, he was a member of the core team at DNV
GL that evaluated the impact of the first 15 years of the UN Global Compact, research that was recently
presented in the UN General Assembly to Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
AUKE LONT
CEO, Statnett
Auke Lont was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Statnett in 2009. He has more than 30 years’ experience
from the energy industry, ranging from pioneering gas agreements in the 80s to managing Statoil’s energy
activities in the Nordic region from 2000 until 2005. Lont has previously been Managing Director at Naturkraft,
Senior Vice President for Statoil Nordic Energy and Managing Director at ECON. Statnett is the state-owned
system operator in the Norwegian energy system. It aims to build the next-generation main grid to secure power
supply and contribute to creation of value, while at the same time facilitating better climate solutions through the
realisation of Norway’s climate objectives. Together with National Grid, Statnett is currently constructing an
electricity link between Norway and the UK, which will provide opportunities for shared use of renewable energy.
JOHN ANDERSEN JR.
Chairman, Scatec Solar ASA
John Andersen, Jr. is the CEO of Scatec AS, a privately held incubator and investment company with its primary
focus in renewable energy and material science. Mr. Andersen currently serves as the Chairman of the Board
of Scatec Solar ASA, a leading independent solar power producer with operations across Africa, Asia, the US
and Europe. Scatec Solar ASA is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. Mr. Andersen also serves and has served
as Chairman of the Board and Director of several other companies within solar energy, wind energy, and material
science. Prior to joining Scatec, Mr. Andersen held the position as Executive Vice President & Group COO of
Renewable Energy Corporation (REC), a leading, vertically integrated solar energy company. In different
positions over a 12-year period Mr. Andersen was responsible for REC's activities in wafers, solar cells, solar
modules and systems/project development. Mr. Andersen holds a Master of Business and Economics (Finance)
from the BI Norwegian Business School.
MARK SHORROCK
Chief Executive, Tidal Lagoon Power
Mark Shorrock is the Chief Executive of Tidal lagoon Power since 2012. He is a forerunner within the field of
renewable energy technology, and was responsible for the consenting of 30 UK based solar and wind sites as
well as pioneering two first-of-kind renewable energy investment vehicles. Shorrock has a background as founder
and chief executive of various companies specialising in renewable energy, including Wind Energy and Low
Carbon Group. Tidal Lagoon Power has the ambition to pioneer a large-scale source of indigenous, low-carbon
electricity that is both affordable and sustainable long term. Their fleet of tidal lagoons aims to meet up to 8% of
UK electricity demand while simultaneously focusing on the impact of tidal lagoons on social, economic and
environmental transformation in each area.
TOVE STUHR SJØBLOM
Senior Vice President, Development and Production International, Statoil.
Ms. Tove Stuhr Sjøblom is Senior Vice President, Development and Production International at Statoil. She was
previously Head of business unit responsible for producing assets, project development and country offices in
Angola, Nigeria and Tanzania and she served as Chief Staff Officer and Executive Vice President at Statoil ASA
from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2012. Ms. Sjøblom worked in Statoil since the merger, and before this for
16 years in Hydro. Ms. Sjøblom served as the Senior Vice President for Exploration of Exploration and
Production Norway (EPN) business area. She served as the Vice President Exploration, Strategy and
Environment in EPN. She served as an Asset Manager at Hydro's Ormen Lange from 2004 to 2006. From 2000
to 2004, she served as an Exploration Manager for Hydro in the North Sea. She held various positions as
geologist and project manager for exploration. Ms. Sjøblom holds an MSc from the Norwegian University for
Technology and Natural Sciences (NTNU).
MICHAEL LIEBREICH
Chairman of the Advisory Board at Bloomberg New Energy Finance
Michael Liebreich is Chairman of the Advisory Board and Founder of Bloomberg New Energy Finance, the
world’s leading provider of information on clean energy to investors, energy companies and governments. He
leads a global team comprising journalists, researchers, analysts, sales and marketing departments. He founded
New Energy Finance in 2004, selling it to Bloomberg in 2009 after growing it to 150 people. Mr. Liebreich is a
frequent media commentator in the press, on TV and radio on issues of energy, development and economics. He
serves on the UN Secretary General’s High-Level Group on Sustainable Energy for All and on the World
Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council for the New Energy Architecture, and is a Visiting Professor at
Imperial College London.
JEREMY OPPENHEIM
Director, McKinsey & Company
Jeremy Oppenheim leads McKinsey’s Sustainability and Resource Productivity Practice, working at the
intersection of value creation, sustainability and shifting resource economics. He has worked with private, public
and social-sector clients from around the world, in fields such as renewables, energy efficiency and
environmental finance. Prior to joining McKinsey in 1993, Oppenheim was a senior economist at the World Bank,
specialising in industrial restructuring and technology development. He also chairs Global Action Plan, the UK’s
leading non-profit on sustainable behaviour change.
In 2013-2015, Oppenheim took a sabbatical to be programme chair of the New Climate Economy project, a
major international initiative to understand the economic costs and benefits of climate action. The final report,
Better Climate, Better Growth, focused particularly on climate-friendly cities and made the case that effective
