Job Title Reports to Location Hours Purpose Marketing & Communications Manger CEO DEBRA House, Crowthorne 35 hpw To lead the Marketing & Communications Team to deliver high impact marketing campaigns and activities in line with organisational objectives that increases our reach and engagement with key audiences. Key Role & Activities Lead the Marketing and Communications team to deliver high impact marketing campaigns and activities in line with organisational objectives that increase our reach and engagement with key audiences. Work with senior stakeholders to undertake strategic decisions that guide the communications, marketing and brand strategies based on organisational priorities and values. Oversee all communications and marketing activities – including digital, media, own publications, PR, fundraising, retail and internal communication – to maximise stakeholder engagement, understanding of the condition and the profile of the charity. Ensure consistency and clarity of message in all communication and effective integration of campaigns through all channels to maximise impact. Ensure DEBRA’s brand communications acts with consistency and integrity, connect and resonate with our target audiences and that our brand equity is increased through media channels. Develop a Donor Marketing Strategy to ensure that donor potential is maximised at all levels; including overseeing appeals, donor recruitment campaigns and stewardship programmes. Support all fundraising and EB community events by utilising appropriate advertising channels and PR opportunities. Manage and develop the DEBRA website. Manage the production of DEBRA’s corporate and key fundraising publications and sign off on other publications produced by colleagues. Devise, manage and implement internal communications plans and activity to support projects across DEBRA. Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders, including trade associations and media. Manage Donor Marketing and Communications budgets. Job Description – Marketing & Comms Mgr 1116 Page 1 of 2 Person Specification Skills Knowledge/ Understanding Essential Efficient IT skills, including knowledge of website, database and social media management. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to skilfully negotiate and influence others, and build good working relationships internally and externally. Great understanding of principles and practices of marketing – including PR, media relations, advertising, digital and branding – across different platforms to develop strategies and campaigns to raise awareness of DEBRA and EB, support income generation and reinforce our brand across all touch points.
