Gila River Indian Community Department of Environmental Quality Air Quality Program Air Quality Program Strategic Plan 2010-2013 (and 2020) CROSS-PROGRAM Goal/Guiding Principle: PROVIDE LEADERSHIP AT GRIC ON CLIMATE CHANGE Objective 1: Reduce Green House Gas (GHG) Emissions at GRIC TASKS A Reduce GHG from Stationary Sources RESPONSIBILITY MEASURES/INDICATORS YEAR a) maintain membership in Climate Registry Cook Membership Status 2 a) develop baseline greenhouse gas (GHG) Emissions Inventory Regulatory Team GHG EI data Regulatory Team 3 a) develop voluntary targets through stakeholder process Multi-year schedule for GHG target reductions a) voluntary reductions by facilities -greenhouse gas emissions from industrial facilities reduced 25% by 2015 1-10 Cook 4-10 b) based on national discussion and local stakeholders as well as Regulatory Team elected officials, evaluate possible regulatory reductions (permits) -GRIC contribution to slowing down climate change -less dramatic temperature variation and drought -better water supply at GRIC for farming and other sustainable uses 1
